Bon had actually spent some time in jail prior to ACDC. He was headed for a life of petty crime if he hadn't hooked up with the guys from The Valentines and then Fraternity. Today tattoos are about as "outlaw" as earrings on a male but Bon had tats as far back as the mid sixties due to his time spent in jail and his affiliation with criminals. It wasn't until the mid 90s that tattoos became a fashion trend.
