this has happen to me 1 time. just call t-mobile and tell the the should send you one for free. it dont matter if you gott it from a friend or nott. once you put your sim card in it t-mobile knows what phone your sim is in so you could just say you bought it from your friend and thats all you gott to do.

I love the g1 but in the course of a year I've had 3 and each let me down

1st. Idk hardware failure phone kept turning off by itself then eventually never came back on

2nd. Tried to update and it got stuck in bootloader mode

3rd. Today i was in the Market and it told me i needed to update...did that

then it started turning off and on, pulled the battery now if im lucky the back lights turn on with maybe a "G1" screen then the screen dims away yet the phones still on...no it doesnt even light up

im having the same problem the backlight goes on thats it.... and i bought the phone from a friend and idk if they will replace it or not what do i do??

Hi i'm having problems with mi G1, because i installed a theme and when I turn on the phone the screen reamins black. I tried to reset the phone but it doesn't work. Do you know what i can do, o how can i uninstall the theme?

i had the same problem, and fixed it myself, by replacing the ribbon between the motherboard and the screen.

Its 20 dollars on ebay, with tools. If you have the skills to take apart your phone, then all you have to do is to replace the ribbon cable. go to ebay, and search for "G1 Ribbon cable"

theres no way it booted up that fast. your booting up the buttons dont work when your booting the keypad and the keyboard.

ya that just, just happened to mine and im not paying anything cuz its there fault that something is wrong with the data and i have insurance
