Cavaliers have great potential, hell you can buy a stock motor for under $2-300 and build it up or go as far as dropping in a s/c 3.8L from a Grand Prix..it's all about having pride in what you build, and it tends to show those who know more about cars than others, say much less as far as bashing.. those who know little to nothing about cars, troll YouTube and get their 'knowledge' from other ill-informed retards.

I have a cavalier 96 bring machine 2.4 my car is automatic but the car flies him(her) and gained(earned) many big and tidy(fixed) cars I do 16 seconds in 1/4 of mile but I do not bring anything wonder if this one well my time to be a normal car and without anything..

02cavybuiler... what do i start with

1) stock cavalier (the one he has) starts with 145 or so horses

2) header gives maybe 3 hp

3) they dont make "chips" for cavaliers

4) shaved and ported heads LOL maybe 15 hp

5) motor mounts dont make hp...

6) flywheel = 2-3

7) a good cold air will do about 8

8) racing muffler... wtf is that. full exhuast does about 4

9) you need to not touch a cavalier ever

VERY COOL. I have an 05 w/ just I/H/E....motor mounts are wearing and clutch too so my best is a 15.9 for now. Sad huh? If I wanted to run low 14's, I'd just throw on a 75 shot. They seem to do OK on stock Ecotecs w/ better clutches.

hey man.. i personally don't have a cavalier but my cousin did.. he had all the basic bolt ons, headers, cat, exhaust.. he needed a silencer because that thing was annoyingly loud. but the major upgrates he had was 2 10 lb bottles of zex smart system.. im not sure the jets he had. be also has a jet performance programmer and stage 3 cams.. he didnt replace his valvetrain and eventually blew it up because he sprayed it in first gear like a dumbass

forget the tbody spacer, ditch the chip (nobody makes them for jbodies). go turbo. check out HPtuners for computer reprograming stuff, if you have a 3rd gen Jbody from 1997-2005 HPTuners supports you and gives you complete control over your factory ecu

in the beginning credits you'll see BFGoodrich DRs credited... the car weighs 2500lbs as per atco scale. My differential is the stock open unit.. once I have LSD installed it should be quite a bit easier to hook up off the line
