For all those of you wondering about this voice and whose it is, I'd recognize it anywhere. It's Mark Lenard, the guy who played Spock's father Sarek in the early Star Trek movies. At 2:21 he's saying "And an antilock braking system..."
What year? I am looking at a 1992 Saab Griffin 9000CD. It has 170,000 miles and is 900$. It sounds like a deal too good to be true. Still I am very much considering it.
Well I have 172 thousand miles on mine and just got the turbo rebuilt and the motor rebuilt. I'm trying to sell mine for only 4000 thousand. Its a good deal for this car. Saabs just are not worth much in the u.s.
I still have this car, and it's awesome 17 years old, but still going strong!
Best Saab ever made!

named in honour of Peter Griffin. It's a car, let's get over it.

This one even had rear A/C - a very rare find in a 9000 (you can tell by the extra button on the ACC).

Let's hope that vintage sense would also return in the all-new 9-5.

I drive a saab 9000, an old one. Danish tax forces Danes to drive old cars :(

The high price is only because of high taxes. If you took your car to Denmark and sold it to me I would have to pay the very high tax.

If I was living in the USA I would have bought your car!
In Denmark this car costs around 17000 Euro.
(With all 3 zeros ;-) )
So is about 6 times more.

@gdgustav is this because of something called "luxury tax" and does this luxury tax exist in sweeden Norway and Finland as well?
At what rate is Luxury tax levied at?
hunjsuk 2 years ago
@hunjsuk
No, it has nothing to do with luxury tax. It is mainly just tax.
In rest of Scandinavia they do not have so high taxes on cars.
