This was my first R.E.M. show after nearly 20 years as a fan. This was a great opener, but to save my life I couldn't remember the song's name. For some reason I kept thinking it was on "Green." But now every time I listen to "Life's Rich Pageant" I hear this and think "wow, this was the first song I ever heard R.E.M. play live.

AWESOME!!  Nice to hear them pull this one out again. Old school REM rocks. I hope they put some Texas dates on this tour in the fall. I definitely want to see these guys again.

They opened with this song when I saw them 22 years ago. Still sounds just as good.

I agree! And this was such a surprising opening song -- I expected something off the new album or something. Great show from a band that doesn't appear to have lost a step.
