Wow...seven years later this commercial still makes me tear up. I think it is the most respectful and beautiful commercial ever to be made. Thank You to the people who orchestrated it creation.
Wow. This just made my eyes tear up. *wipes eyes* I'm overseas; when did this commercial air, 9/11 I assume. The horses are only doing what the trainer told them to do, but it works. *wipes eyes again*
I did not see this the only time it aired. I am so glad it has been preserved here. I've watched this many, many times and it always moves me. The close up of the horse's big soft eye and then the bow leaves me in tears every time. Bravo Budweiser. A commercial in a class by itself.
this was only aired once b/c it wasnt actually meant to adverrtise budweiser wanted to show their respect and yet after that commericial their money shot up
This commercial for Budweiser would give Coca Cola serious competition for the best all time Super Bowl ad ever made..The network always shows the 1980 Coke commercial with "Mean Joe Greene"for the best super bowl ad ever produced... Let the people have a chance to vote on this particular commercial by Budweiser.. C'mon networks!! Show this "patriotic ad" for a vote of all time best super bowl ads.. It is one hell of an ad..............
First..Great commercial...Great that it is on youtube. #2..I don't give a S*** if you don't like bud, or if you don't like America..Thats your call....
But you have some *(&##@ respect, this commercial was made in honor of 9/11. By insulting this you insult that action.
You don't see as many US citizens laughing about the Madrid bombings, or your other countries bad times as you do other countries B***hing about the US...
ii saw this commercial the day it aired. I had not got emotional over 9/11 attacks prior to this commerical. I have told people about it for years and nobody had seen it. Now im sending it to everybody i know thanks to finding it here.

This ad was aired before Dubya dictated the infamous Patriot Act to American citizens and his grand scheme raiding the Treasury to invade Afghanistan/Iraq for his neo-con cronies.
For 6 very long years, I've waited to see this commercial. I was a bartender when the towers came down, and really had a hard time with certain things after that. I've always been a fan of Anheauser Busch, not jsut for thier ad campaigns, or Dale Jr, or the entertainment venues they sponser, but simply because, for the most part, they do it all in style and great taste, and I don't mean what you feel on your tongue. Well worth the wait. I AM PROUD to be an American. Thank You, AB. Thank you.
The reason Budweiser only showed this commercial once was out of respect to the families of 9/11. It was a one and only thing. I am from St. Louis, Missouri, the home of Anheauser Busch and felt this commercial was done in very good taste and had nothing to do with sales..
As and FYI...the hitch that was used in shooting this video was based out Merrimack, NH. You can visit the brewery, take a tour, and see the Clydesdales all the Merrimack, NH brewery.

this commercial is bullshit...respect for 9/11? come on people, budweiser is a commercial enterprise, they only want to make money, and they're capitalizing on the tragedy and people's grief to advertise their beer...i think we should be outraged that someone would be using 9/11 as a way to further their own ends

Hear hear: a load of computer-generated cock. The only tribute budweiser are interested in are the little green ones with dead presidents and numbers on them. The board of directors @ Headache-in-a-can inc must be laughing their heads off! You fucking idiots!
fyi, that commercial was only aired once, they took it off the same day b/c they didn't want to gain anything from it, it was only a sign of respect, and its a wonderful commercial
You clearly don't know what you're talking about. This commercial was aired only one time for that very reason: They didn't want to gain any profit from it, it was just to acknowledge the lives lost on 9/11. Do some research before you go on another moronic rant.
This commercial is the ultimate in respect toward New York, and 9/11 in general. The boys at Bud got this one right big time. It is a shame this commercial was pulled.
It is amazing how some people miss the boat here huh Bar? If Bud was only out for money then make another funny horse commercial. This is more a statement than a commercial.
Watched it 4 times in a row and cried every single time. I never saw this when it originally came out and now I see that's because it was pulled. Ridiculous as it's a great tribute.
This is the most majestic tribute I have seen for the victims of 9/11. I cry every time I watch it, when they make that close up of that beautiful, watchful eye of that clyde. I will never understand why some group got together and had it pulled from tv, they said it was not appropriate since it was related to beer. If you haven't already guessed, I own clydesdales, there is nothing sweeter or more beautiful. Many thanks for having all these ads on youtube.
Perfect expression of how the country rallied to NYC. The commercial, and the moment, should stand outside policy disputes, as a marker of what we can agree upon, and the bittersweet intensity of what we felt.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

When this aired during the 2002 SuperBowl, the roomful of people I was in fell silent. Obviously a BW ad, but something was different.
By the end of the ad, no one could speak.
It's so nice to see that 7 years later, the Peanut Gallery is alive and well, and just as capable as ever of making fools of themselves.
But, put them back into the moment when this ad aired, and they'd have a different perspective.
