  • what did u used to cover the cardboard??

  • where can i get the apoxy resin ¿?

  • man that looks shadey aas hell but concidering what you made it out of thumbs up!x

  • does it really work?

  • @f6201747 Yes

  • Yes it really works.

  • thats the moste gangster shit ever.

  • so did u just put apoxy resin over it to keep the moisture out?

  • Yes, most surf boards have an epoxy or polyester resin finish to keep moisture out. The resin also provides an element of strength.

  • way to think out side the box cu dos to you man, cheers!

  • Awesome

  • It floats. I've surfed the board.

  • Thanks potsie.

  • nice work - 'think outside the box' - I always say, no pun intended!

  • Indeed I was in the assumption that it was a eco project, this was caused by the title of this vid. I found it hilarious to hear that the pink board won! Now I know the true nature of this project I think you did a better job than a pink door and think you should have won.

I am still curious if you were able to do a better finish on the shaping of the rails, cause it looks there haven't been spent a lot of attention to it. It's hard to see with the dark background...

Best of luck to you too!

  • Card board was a bit difficult to work with. Shaping the rails is a lot harder than shaping PU foam.

    The board is pure novelty.

  • The question is if it's really more environmental friendly than building a new one.... Nice try but the board looks like crap and probably surfs like crap.... and at the end not environmental friendly at all...but a waste of materials and energy....

  • Nice too hear from you. You might think this was an eco project it was not. The board was the result of a friendly competition to build the cheapest board. I lost to a pink door.

The board actually rides really well. That comes after riding well over 40 models of Wakesurf boards. In all not a waste of energy but a learning experience. My last four boards were made from home spun EPS blanks and are much more traditional. Best of luck to you.

  • awesome!i think i might try to build a cardboard skimboard, how well does the board float?
