Using the newest version of blender (Not sure of the number IE 3.4.5) and I cant seem to find "Occlude Background Geometry" The other 3 are there but not that one. Any clue where I can find it?
@wolfrider910 Sorry... most people these days do, so it didn't even occur to me. For zooming, the numpad + and - keys work as well. For middle mouse effects, Blender has an 'emulate middle mouse button' option, which I believe is on by default, where you can press the left and right buttons together for the same effect.
Leon, I'm not too familiar with these scripts, but what you're seeing in Blender is a subsurf modifier. This means that Blender calculates a complex, more smooth shape from a simpler mesh. This is an important tool in 3D packages, and with practice you can make extraordinarily complex objects with ease.
Think of those faces you see in edit mode as a control cage from which Blender calculates a more complex shape. You move the cage around and the software worries about the rest of the faces.
If you continue with this tutorial series, the next one includes baking the sculpt map and importing it into Second Life.
The series is all part of the same playlist on my channel, and at the end of each video es a 'Next Tutorial' notation, to make navigating between them in sequence easier.
