ha ha, an ironic song if anything. lol and i agree with kittybobkeke76, lol. where did you come up with that name anyway, jk lol. love it! 5/5 you have a great acoustic voice, too. it's pretty stunning.
I love this new version, it's kinda haunting. It makes me think of some random guy, sat in the dark, in front of his computer writing a love e-mail to his girl friend who's just dumped him over MSN!
Strange what music can do to your brain, isn't it?
Hi. Was wondering if you could tell me how to set things up so I can record stuff like this live in my house. What sort of equiptment do you use to get the sound from the mics straight to the video. All I can do just now is record using the camera mic. Do I need a mixing desk? If so....how do I put it through the camera. Mail me back if it's easier to reply that way. Thanks in advance.
not much i do is straight to camera.. at least not this video.
i record the video at the same time as the audio and add any over dubs or effects before i edit the audio and video back together. i use adobe audition for the recording and mixing and good old windows movie maker for everything else.
Are there any spectific inputs I need for the pc to record the audio onto the computer cause I've got adobe audition now. Most recordings I do are done on a ZOOM 12 track....I've only hot the usual line in on my pc. Do you know of anyway I could use the 12 track as a mixer and put it straight into the line in? Sorry to bog you but I've got loads of songs I'd like to do video's for but I don't really want to put any more up with bad sound:-)
the line-in on any decent sound card would be fine. i've got a notebook so i use a little usb audio dongle thing. the griffin iMic. or the behringer UCA202 depending on what i feel like using at the time. as for what i use in the mic preamp stage, again that depends on my mood. a mixer of some description (like a 12 track) i might use sometimes, but usually i just use a couple of behringer valve mic pre's. the mic100 or mic200. good luck,
hehe, this version is fun! i keep on comparing it to the original and this one is just really interesting to listen to knowing what the original sounds like.
very cool song. i gotta go listen to the original now... the "music video" you described as having jessica simpson miming under a waterfall...wait...maybe i misheard you? ;)
I think you could use the same rhythm with stronger lyrics. I took love two point oh as somewhat comical- I personally think you could write other lyrics to better suit the song style. I do like it, but it could be stronger.
I love that you re-interpreted your own song... Now that's true talent.
What a difference! ...
I like both the versions, as they are so different... But the guitar on this one was really great! And your voice, as always, wonderful... Though I think there may have been a few off notes at the beginning... Not like it matters!
Nice one budd. You've really got a wicked voice. Love the lyrics, very technical and awesome! I aspire to play the guitar that well. Take care man. Dan =:)
I really like the different tone. Very good atmosphere built in. Clever way you changed the singing to suit the music. Impressive! Keep up the good work, and I MEAN IT! Haha.
Honestly this one does not go with the lyrics its way to slow for what you were tryin to do with the guitar. you have a great voice but if the tune isnt up to par with your voice it aint gonna be all that good but im sure you know that.
I know this is more your normal style, and it certainly shows off your voice better, but I don't think this arrangement goes with the tongue-in-cheek lyrics at all. Perhaps new lyrics? It would be a really cool song if the lyrics were serious rather than lighthearted.
