  • Also, I love how I wrote 2 Timothy 3:16 to show reference as the Bible being the inspired Word of God & then you had that quote at the end of the video "They must find it difficult ... Those who have taken authority as the truth, rather than truth as the authority."

The Bible is truth & is the final authority. I don't find it difficult at all to follow the Bible as both, one in the same because the truth of the Bible is the authority over everything.

  • Ok listen. Yes the bible is truth. I know that but not in the context that you think it is.

I have read the bible many many times, talked to many pastors, Priests and Rabbis. You would be amazed at the amount of questions they cant answer.

You can believe what you want I'm not trying to convince otherwise. I just want to understand everyone's views and beliefs. What compels someone to believe something just with faith. Just shear hope.

  • Touche-well said. So then, if I may ask, setting aside all labels of "religions", would you say you believe in Heaven/Hell, God, Afterlife, personal experience?( I'm sure you can fit that in the box:) Do you yourself sense a certain kind of Truth apart from an institution? For me, for example, though a belong to a greater "religion" from the basis of a direct relationship with God, I don't take everything as is/agree with some views just because some human tells me to. (Thank you.)

  • as the labeled "Heaven/Hell" no. As for the afterlife standpoint, yes. afterlife is very possible. if you look and understand conciseness. Begin to understand how the brain works, you will see that its a lot more complex then just electrical impulses that control you..

God.. well no. *creator* maybe. I believe that there is something way bigger then we could ever comprehend. just the shear size of the known universe is a dead give away to that.

I'm looking at this from a different veiw

  • Funny you say that because on the Mary Did You Know video you were talking about how many "unanswered questions" the Bible leaves for you. Are you saying you can't fully comprehend the Bible & that's why you don't believe in it? But wait... "there is something way bigger then we could ever comprehend" but not a god, but a creator. I thought that's what the Bible was about... the Creator, God. That, and in fact the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

  • It's true that one must look at all info.- but I also am not a firm believer in trying everything until I find one I like. So then would you mind giving me a brief overview of what YOU think? What are some of your views on anything you might have "narrowed it down to", pardon my expression.

  • I never said to try everything to narrow it down. I said to look at all the available knowledge and start to really think about it.

as far as what I'm starting to piece together.. the explanation will not fit in this box. It cant really be brief.

  • You are completely right! They're not what we think because like yourself most people want to find out a rational way (I myself am like this also; I'm taking an Early Christian Literature class) what the Truth is, most people as human beings cannot face the fact that something this HUGE cannot be rationalized but must be believed. Yes there is an extent to which one can come to an earthly/scholarly conclusion- but it will be a dead-end if you don't embrace it with all your heart.

  • one must look at ALL information before making a decision. the fear of death has most wanting to believe in the christian and Judaism and many other religions and they look no further because its all there laid out to them. they don't sit and think for themselves to find the truth.

  • I very much admire your thirst for the truth,- he who seeks will find- if only everyone were so earnest! I'm eager to keep checking out your findings out of interest, if that's okay with you...

  • that is fine. the more people that look and discuss the issue the more people that will be informed decisions for themselves for what they want to believe. Not what the general public says they should. Doing this has taught me one thing. If there is an all powerful being. He or she is not what we think.

  • that last quote is absolutely right, you just have it in the wrong context...because there can't be two or multiple truths, or the word would become obsolete-and the fact that your page is all about questioning what's true, shows that you don't know the Truth yourself?

  • this channel is for the search for truth, whatever it may be. everyone is entitled to there opinion and there beliefs. Ive just been doing a lot of research the last few years and will be posting what Ive found out.
