Yeah, if I was Adonis, I would have been more careful about teasing the son of Zeus! (But then again, the gods never punish Adonis for his arrogance, except for Gaia in this episode, so what do you do?) And also, in the "real" myths, Hercules didn't come from an ordinary family either, but from a royal one. So if Hercules hadn't been a demi-god, he would have at least have been a prince.
@TJCID22 I don't know about "Disney's Hercules", but the Hercules that did the 12 labors in Greek Mythology was apparently pretty clever...or at least, that is how the History Channel portrayed him.
Well, from what I've understood, Hercules wasn't that good in school. But then, he also had a jackass for a teacher, who didn't help the matter. And there are different kinds of "cleverness". Hercules maybe wasn't the greatest scholar, but he did use his brains to accomplish some of his labors. And that's pretty much Disney's version of him as well.
@Mammalmage In addition to what TJCID22 says, I think it was because he was caught up in the moment. I mean, after finding out Adonis had let him take the deadly risk of picking the apples, he was probably so angry that he forgot to think straight.
Wow, she's not mine at all, at least not in this show. While they sugarcoated most of the other gods (except of course Hades), they turned Gaia into a real bitch. But then again, Adonis sort of deserved a scare like this one, being the arrogant jerk, that he was.
@Itachilovesme4: Er, no, that's not true. Meg worked for Hades because she had a boyfriend whom she sold her soul so that he could live. Adonis, in the episode you speak of, was just a blind date Meg had gone on and hated so much that she wanted to forget about him, which she did at the end, at the cost of forgetting about Herc too. It was probably sometime afterwards that she got involved with the boyfriend that got her tangled up with Hades.
"Gaia, mother of Earth, I call upon you"
Why didn't Hercules just say
"Hey Gaia, your great-grandson wants to talk to you!!!"

Nope. The songs in this episode are the best ones in this entire series though, in my opinion.

Why doesn't Herc just call Hermes to do it for him?
Mammalmage 2 years ago
Cuz that would be to easy...and smart. Lets face it, herc didn't go down in history as the world's smartest man.

Oh wow. Adonis actually helped Hercules. O_O Maybe he's not that inconcievably horrible after all.

But if you've seen "Aetolian Amphora," you find out that he's the reason why Meg worked for Hades in the movie. Still inconceivably horrible. X(
