I just got the HD through the direct Tv for 10 dollars a month but its free the first 3 months and when I choose autopay its free for the entire 2 years
DirecTV wins on sports, but Dish Network tends to win when it comes to value for your money and the promotions that they have. They simply offer packages at a better price and deal.
i want direct t.v. because it has more channels but their expensive as hell, i have dish i used to have the channels HBO but now i have to buy it and it used to be free but not any mores

@chicagocoria Fail. Half of all channels can barely be called channels at all. Most of their shit is just paid programming 24/7. And their rating system sucks ASS.

Dis, you get what you pay for. Direct TV has better programming, and the most sports of any provider in the world. MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA, they got it all. Yes, it costs more, but its because they offer more.
@GisherJohn24 No you don't. DISH Network has better technology, more HD channels (according to independent third party MediaBiz) and the fewest consumer complaints in the industry. DirecTV does have good services, but IMHO, the price does not match, and DISH Network is superior in almost every way (except for sports packages).
@GamePro0012 I respect your opinion, but the HD channels offered are only part time, that's common fact. So some programming is not digtial HD television. Direct TV's HD channels are HD all the time, 24 hours a day. The packages are cheaper, I agree, but the channels are pretty lame in their basic lineup. DISH Networks claims they cost less, but the truth is, they simply offer less. Their basic channel package is cheap, yes, but there is a reason. Most of those channels nobody has heard of.
@GisherJohn24 1. I pointed out MediaBiz in my comment, who counts HD channels the RIGHT way. DISH has 85, DirecTV has 68. 2. That's true, but DISH Network does that so you aren't forced to pay for channels you don't watch. DISH Network actually offers more. It's also worth noting that the BBB gave DTV an "F" rating. DISH Network also has better technology. It's reasons like this that DirecTV is spending millions on a bait-and-switch scheme. I do respect your opinion, though.
I'm also a big sports guy, when you compare, I won't even look at dish. I have to have NBA League pass and the NFL package, this is only on Direct TV.

The only thing DISH has to offer against NFL Sunday Ticket is their multi-sport pack, which contains NFL RedZone, a much less expensive but inferior sports package to NFL ST. And yes, I'm very aware that DISH's claim of having 200 HD channels is exaggerated, but DTV ALSO counts part-time HD channels to get to 160.
did DirecTV just stole Dish's advertising campaign. if so then that's just wrong to do a commercial similar to your rival. shakes head. that's gonna cause confusion.
I'm with dish and they lies to me a lot! But know I'm in a stupid contract and have to wait 2 years

disnetworks basic package is only 20 bucks and direct is like 50 with 50 bucks you can get way more channels on dishnet
