hi, i want to ask you, how log do you have to wear a retainer after the braces, i mean-24/7 or you can not wear them while you are out. i have braces and i reaaaally want to know :)

@malkiq000sased hey there mm well i'm not sure how long but i do kno that my best friend christina (the other girl in the videos) when she got hers off she had to wear them al the time except when she ate. and now she only wears then to sleep. so it all depends on your ortho. and what they say.

yes it does hurt when they put them on. The reason is because when they remove your spacers your gum is sore, and when they put the brackets in they have to push on your gums a bit. But there is no pain from anything else when they put the braces in. Lol and also i have cold sores from braces and i've been using the orthosil(wax) and it doesnt go away in 2 days...try a week or two

it doesn't hurt for everyone. I had braces put on this morning and there was absolutely no pain at all. The only thing I felt was the mouth pieces that held my mouth open. Not everyone has to wear spacers or expanders, either. I didn't need either one. Good luck with your braces!

@JenniferLisa923 well your going to feel a crap load of pain when you try and eat. and thanks i just want my braces off asap. i've had them on for about 3 or so weeks now, and theres not pain after the first week but its just cleaning after you eat, taking longer to brush your teeth, and getting sores thats getting to me.

Still haven't had pain with tightenings, etc

could also be because I have Damon Braces.
