@Shrike2415 you still have zero idea what you are talking about in regards to this car (which is regarded as the rolls Royce or Bentley of japan)...as I have said this is a luxury vehicle which is producing that HP at insanely low revs, the suspension and whole setup is made for smooth acceleration, very little noise and comfort.
@Shrike2415 the engine itself is designed for comfort, if you have a quick throttle that launches like a bat out of hell eleventy billion HP then a president is not going to be comfortable, you have a smooth power curve at low revs with the rest of the car designed for that purpose and its one of the best engineered V12's on the planet.
Not everything is about bulk horsepower, and these engines have proven them self in that respect...just google "top secret v12 supra".
Well new the engine has 280hp. same as the bmw 850i v12 when new it had just 280hp. V12 are the smoothest piston engines you can put in a car and best balanced. So when you want the torque and power of a V8 but with out the vibrations or the loudness then use a v12. I have a Mercedes Benz Cl600 and I love how smooth that engine is compare to my friends SL55 amg.
@sahand17 of raver pants? hahahahahaha!! sorry bud, not me.. im not sure which is worse, raver pants or saggin. I bet you sag ur raver pants.. hahahaha!
do it ourself for the most part, its a typical combustion engine so if you've worked on one you can pretty much take that to any car since every engines basic principle is the same (just have a service manual from toyota handy).
Have to love the Toyota, the best cars in the world.
I have owned a BMW 750i & a Toyota Celsior (Lexus LS430) & I can say the Toyota shat all over the BM.
Building a Lamborghini Countach Replica & installing a Toyota V12 in to it, most of my Friends in the UK have installed the BMW V12 in their replicas. because they are cheap, but heavier & they cost a fortune to repair
Toyotas are easier to repair & the costs are a lot cheaper then any other car I have owned in the past 25 years.
@Elexceed The only with Japanese cars is they are offensively bland and awful to look at, they are also totally style free and make you suicidally bored after a few weeks of buying one.... German stuff is unreliable, overpriced and overrated but at least they are interesting!!
dont know how meany other auto makers would give you a an owners manual and a book containing the master craftmen signitures involved in the making of that perticular car.
Toyota did not build these to compete with any other maker, they are simply a matter of pride for toyota, very few were built and they were not after profit, just an example of superb engeneering, a flagship to be proud of.
if you're dumb enough to ask that then i dont have time to waste typing out a decent response. short and sweet, its a farking jap limo, not a ferrari sports car.
well their are 16 cylinder cars from the 20's that shit all over these and make less then 100hp...you, myself and most on youtube would not be able to afford nor maintain one.
youtube is full of morons, the less i have responding to my videos the better.
considering your name you probably drive a skyline (so no doubt you have alot of maintenence with a crappy RB engine), this is a luxury barge, it has nothing to do with performing massive HP, its about comfort for the client you are driving...the royal family of japan drive around in these things, which says alot about the type of people toyota market them to.
But these engines can make bulk HP, do a search for the Top secret 1GZ supra. :)
Awesome vid. The car and engine is not about real power. I saw one Century in Australia. Not sure if the owner was Japanese but my best bet that it was an ex-diplomat car. I wonder how noisy it's in the cabin.
there are a few non-v12 centuries in australia but this is the only v12 century in australia period from what the owner has found out...the others look the same but have a v8.
in the cabin you cant hear the road noise or the engine, so very quiet made for a smooth ride.
was just a japanese diplomats personal car...guess it would cost more for him to take it back to j-land so sold it. The owner bought this for only $30,000. :)
Cheers to that! I drive a UF11 Lexus LS and it's really quiet as well; just a very faint grumble from inside the cabin. Not that great on fuel economy, though, and goes through oil faster than most sports cars :(
the toyota "hemi" century, while they look the same almost the engine is shit and one i know of put a 1UZ-FE in out of a lexus to replace the stock engine.
I like my displacement, and I've never really liked any DOHC Toyota mill that wasn't a xx-GE model. If I'm sticking to Toyota engines, Big Twin Turbo 2JZ-GTE, or the Nextel Cup motor, whatever that is. Maybe a built Tundra engine. If I cant' have wide-angle heads, I might as well have Displacement.
I am an import fan, I own a highly modded Mkiii supra with a 2jz power plant.
and the 1uz-fe is stock 6-bolt main bearings, has forged internals...and on the US supra forums one guy is building for over 1800 - 2000 hp so they can hold there own rather easily when unleased. Even using stock internals and compression with a NA-T setup you'll be making 800hp.
I like my old skool v8's (building a 340ci TT) but its going in a 1930's rod. :)
....And I so friggin want this!!!! even quieter than Lexus's flagship I heard... would'nt even matter to me about the 30 hp loss, there might be ways to overcome that. i's retro classy, and little Pimp lol, thanks for sharing this video!!! I always wanted to hear toyota's V12 in action.

Is it difficult to repair in Australia? We live in hk,my relative usually employs a maintenance staff from Japan.

Mate Lexus earned the respect like BMW and Mercs in last 20 yrs, which those companies earned in more than 60yrs.
Besides own a lexus n then say the comment if it disappoints you.
