Wow! You just brought back such good memories for me. I grew up in Kaneohe and we did our 4th grade May Day performance to this song. Each class featured a different percussion intrument -- uli'uli, pu'ili, and ili'ili.

I love listening to your songs on youtube when I have some downtime. Any chance you'll cut an album someday? Even if you offered some MP3 downloads sometime I'd definitely buy them!

This is one of my favorite songs to sing but I have to find just the right key to do falsetto without vocal disaster LOL!

I usually sing the first few stanzas without falsetto to gain confidence in my voice before I try to make the break to falsetto. I have used a throat spray called "singer's saving grace" to clear the mucous from the vocal chords before singing falsetto.
