  • Does one size fit all?

  • @cbarb771 Pretty much, there are adjustment straps towards the back which you can tighten or loosen to fit your chest and straps on the top around the shoulder pads to fit your height.

  • Can it fit g36 mags in the pouches?

  • @Destroyer961 Probably not due to the width and the clips on the sides.

  • @Martzx3193 and ak-47 mags??

  • @EveryBodySucks100 and the the m16 mag pouch in od green, they will only fit 20 rouds mags right??

  • @EveryBodySucks100 The larger 30 round ones, probably not AK mags

  • @Martzx3193 damn... jaja thanks i got one of those a few weeks ago on the only military store in my country :( is for a drama play but i would like to buy and ak in a few years so i need it where to put my mags... jaja thanks, any good idea for ak mags in a similar configuration? (chep, and reliable)

  • @EveryBodySucks100 Perhaps a large utility type pouch could work, it may be a bit looser but it may fit the AK mags better.

  • @Martzx3193 thanks :)

  • thanks again man, just got mine in the post. It looks great, incredibly light

  • @Voltage247 Yep, it is a good, sturdy vest, pretty much all you need really.

  • thanks man Im now going to get one

  • Nice video, you should check out my video on the combat medic vest system. Nearly identical to yours, except it does have MOLLE and support for some ALICE components.

  • @stabnshoot Nice man, I will check it out!

  • I like to use only the suspenders and belt w/ two mag pouches.

  • I love this vest, lightweight, full of pouches to carry all your stuff, comfortable... I have it in OD (replica, it's not as good in quality as yours, that's an original one, but the réplica is very good indeed) I use it for "greenside" operations, it's just PERFECT.

  • @DreisSniper It definitely is a very tried and true vest, so basic and easy to run with that it is hard not to like it. I use this a lot on my lighter weight summer games, in fact I plan to use it at a game coming up. Just the vest, belt, and dump pouch and good to go hehe.

  • @Martzx3193 Yep, the best option for hot weather no doubt. The only thing I changed from the "original" configuration, is to change the cantees for a woodland camelback.

  • @DreisSniper Luckily, that is exactly what I run with!

  • Are the D rings on the back of the vest used for putting a buttpack on?

  • @dillonforemanm4a1 I believe so, they may work in the same fashion that the J-hooks on ALICE suspenders to stabilize the buttpack.

  • @Martzx3193 Thanks man

  • I got the same vest off Ebay too! But i only have 1 alive pouch so would you be intrested in selling yours?

  • Molle just had to take the funn out of the alice gear :p

  • Lol I like my alice gear with ma H harness better than ma molly vest.

  • The MOLLE vest can carry a lot of extra stuff that ALICE didn't have the vertical space for. But as it stands, my ALICE era webbing has space for 2 canteens, 8 stagmags, one smoke/flashbang/flare grenade, 2 frag grenades pouches and one utility pouch which we chuck a lot of additional shit into like food, maps, groundsheets and range cards for mapping out distance of terrain features when we're in a foxhole.

  • put the cam on a tripod so that you'll have more freedom of movement and a lot less shake. I still use the ALICE era stuff for my yearly service call up. I do prefer it quite a bit more than the MOLLE gear that we're supposed to switch to but the MOLLE gear is pretty damn hot to wear esp in the tropics.

I get heat rashes wearing it.

  • @Prometheus3052 I am using a standard digital camera from around 2004. There isn't any way to mount to a tripod unfortunately. Regarding the gear, I do like the older fashioned load bearing quite a bit due to its lightweight and breathable style. It isn't as "high speed" or "tacticool" as MOLLE rigs, but it gets the job done, there was a reason why our military has used such rigs for so long anyhow.

  • 5/5

    Great gear

  • @PACER2320 Thanks man! Appreciate the comment!

  • if i were you, i would use this vest in the summer time since it is more open and light weight, and then when you get a plate carrier, use it in the winter.

  • @o3XOT1Co That is exactly what I had in mind, I generally use my IBA for winter.

  • you are the best airsoft gear reviewer ever!!! you know everything

  • @monterbow3 Well Thanks man, I wouldn't say I know everything lol, but I do have some extensive knowledge on older US equipment.

  • I have the First Gen :D I like it cause its comfortable, how much was your M16 pouches?

  • @SuperDwang The pouches were really cheap. All four of those were no more than 10 dollars, and they came with the ALICE suspenders, and 2 canteens and covers. Ebay usually has tons of old LC gear setups for super cheap.

  • @Martzx3193 Ah thanks, Im using this set up as my Real time gear and airsoft lol so i can practice just incase shit goes down lol. thanks for the info.

  • This is GEN 1,GEN 2 has a mesh type netting BEHIND ammo pouches! GEN 2 was replaced by MOLLE!

  • @ppspsd Yep, you are correct. The Gen 2 is also known as the ELBV, it differed from the Gen 1 in that it had angled mag pouches, mesh instead of nylon, and the 2 buttoned straps opened inwards. Eventually Specialty Defense Systems a branch of Specialty Plastic Products who made the LBVs was contracted to manufacture the military's MOLLE systems, including the FLC and range of pouches and equipment.

  • IS THIS THE GEN1 OR THE GEN 2

  • @PANTACREVIEWER529 This is the Generation 1 version, the earliest one that I know of, it has the mag pouches directly in front hanging in front of your chest. If I'm correct the Generation 2 is also known as the ELBV or Enhanced Load Bearing Vest, it has the pockets slightly off to the side and angled a bit.

  • THANKS MAN

  • IS THE GEN 1 GOOD

  • @PANTACREVIEWER529 Well, I'd say they are about the same really, I would say it is good for what it is worth.

P.S. you really don't need to use caps that much. Thanks

  • Yep, they are pretty good for starter vests, there are many options for them, like the condor stuff, bu these are sturdy and good all around vests. They are US issue so they will last a long time, they may be old fashioned, but they get the job done.

  • The nearest surplus sells used LBVs for 100 bucks each. But I bought mine on eBay. And later on I'll probably get a flak vest which are $100 too.

P.S. if you have all pouches filled, you can have 18 mags just like me with my bandolier. And on more thing what do you keep in the first aid pouch, I have a 6 yds x 2ft bandage, scissors, and a ziplock bag w/ matches, antiseptic pads, aluminum foil, and gloves. Maybe an idea for you?

  • I probably am going to eventually get a PASGT flak vest, but I don't see a point in that many magazines... really that's just more to keep track of. Get a few high caps and maybe 4-8 mid caps, and you'd be set for magazines... but really, don't have them all on you at once, there is no point... Why have that much ammunition when you only have to use maybe 2 or 3 300 high cap per game? and no I don't need all that extra stuff that really has no point, I keep my cell phone in the first aid pouch.

  • Yeah, I use it for camping too that's why there's stuff in the first aid pouch. And when I go airsofting I'll just use the ALICE 3-mag pouches, the ones in the LBV I use for food and extra bbs.

  • I try to run light on things like bbs and food, etc. BBs shake a lot and make tons of noise. Everything else is simply weight that I don't need.

  • just hold on my dad being a fucking asshole today so I wont be on my computer today, he's idiotic douche, srry..

  • Ok then?

  • he's calmed down now.
