I'm about to buy one of these very cool heli's but have one question...does anyone know what the difference is between the walkera version and the exceed rc versions? The exceed rc heli's are almost $50 cheaper...is there different parts in the exceed model? Maybe plastic parts where the walkera versoin has cnc? Please help.
How fast does the main motor go, what should I bother ordering cause shipping is 50 bucks I can only afford to make one shipment which things should I order with this chopper
rofl not that much I had a 3ch coaxial before, it was pretty slow though. I really underestimated this things power and crashed it almost instantly. Ordering new parts, telling myself under no circumstances am I going above 50% throttle. This thing as a tendency to lean to one side when taking off, so It's pretty difficult. I had it hovering once, that was nice, then I landed it and found it hard to take off again. So yeah not that much experience.
ye ive had those i did great with both this one's on a whole diff scale tho I bought it and my friend broke it from now on only I fly it. I'll just try to get it hovering and try to stay away from messing with the ailerons
i always have kids begging they want to fly my helis. of course i tell them know for obvious reasons. but then i have adults who have no experience wanting to fly the chopper too. i tell them what if you break it, will you replace it or say "i'm sorry, i didn't see the wall?"
If you have a decent simulator like Realflight G3 or greater, offer to let them try and fly a heli on that. That's what I do and they see why I'm being such a prick about it. LOL
I found it easy to take off with small helis if I got the blades spinning then gave it alot fo power and lifted it off the ground quick, dont ease into the throttle with it just get those blades going and give it throttle, once it is in the air back if off a bit to where it hovers..
LMFAO I have never heard of anyone having to pay $50 for S&H. I highly doubt that. Where do you live, the lone station in antartica or something geese.

I agree.
For heli's with a good Gyro they are okay, as sudden torque likes to try and spin the heli.
But I agree, I do the same, I also give them a little left turn to counter the sudden increase and back off.
Gentle takeoffs, specially for small ones usually have them skidding all over the carpet and eventually catching on something, making it tip over.
As for $50 S&H, that usually cuts into the "real" price on auctions to save them listing fees etc.
