Metallica's been one of my favorite bands for a long time, and their albums I like the least are Kill'em All and St. Anger, although I do enjoy them for the most part. St. Anger has some great riffs and imo could've been better if only the songs weren't so long, because it ends up getting a bit tiresome to me. This song never gets tiresome or any less perfect though. One of the best songs ever as far as I'm concerned.

If you say that you don't like Load because you're a "true Metallica fan," you're don't know music. Load was an incredible album. If you only like Kill 'em All, Ride, ...and Justice, and Puppets, that doesn't make you a true Metallica fan. That means you like thrash metal. That's fine too, but don't dismiss the actual true Metallica fans that have stuck with them no matter what style of music they played.

People that do not like Load or Reload need to broaden their musical horizons. Just because it isn't super heavy doesn't mean it isn't good music. I hate people that dislike Metallica because they "sold out". They evolved their music. And believe or not metalheads, there are ALOT of people who like Load and Reload. I love all of Metallica's music by the way.

Fellow You Tuber, let me start by saying that I am a huge Metallica fan, and I don't particularly dislike Load and Reload.

Having said this, saying they "evolved their music" is stretching a point. These albums are simply not very good, that's all! Or at least not thrash/speed metal. Every band dishes out a shit album every now and then but that's OK. These two plus St.Anger are Metallica's worst by far (IMO). If this is evolving, then Death Magnetic must be regressing, right?

@xanado74 Evolving doesn't necessarily mean "getting better", just changing, trying new things, etc. Maybe Load and Reload were deviating from the norm, but they weren't necessarily better (or worse, in some people's opinion) than their older music, which means Death Magnetic is not "worse" because it's more like their older stuff. Matter of taste, too. I like 'em all (except St. Anger).

I love Kill 'em All. I love Ride, Justice is my favorite album, Master rules, Black is just Black, but I love Load AND Reload. St. Anger was a *little* off, and Death was brilliant. Metallica never stopped rocking & being amazing all through the 90's, they may've slowed the tempo some, but the riffs if anything became more monstrous. Hetfield blowing his voice in the 90's is what made him today. He probably would still have the same voice that he did on ...And Justice for All if he hadn't blown it.
