Dude, I loved those pinch harmonics you threw in there a few times. How does the NV play? I remember really liking the shape about a year ago, but they didn't have it in my "local" guitar shop, so I couldn't play it. I didn't really like the other ESP's much, but I don't know about this one.

hey nice NV both of them. It's so hard to find any info about ESP NV guitars wonder why that is? Tomorrow my ESP NV will be delivered I can't wait. I settled for a ESP V II because I couldn't find a good price on a NV then about 2 days before my ESP V II was delivered I finally found a NV so now I have a 2011 ESP V II and the ESP NV. I can't wait to play the NV hope it's easy to play fast solo's on it. NV's are hard to find..

@MADmemphis564 thank you man, if i remember correctly, the bass was maxed out, mid and treble were on 8ish, gain was about a 6, and i dont remember what the contour was set on. Other factors for achieving this tone may include the overdrive pedal (Level: 1, Tone:3, Drive:10), and the pickups (seymour duncan ahb-1 blackouts)

@MADmemphis564 no prob, you could possibly set the distortion channel up with the distortion pedal set real low and get somewhat of an overdrive effect for now. Usually i use diaddario 10's.

between ahb 1 and ahb 3 ( for standard tuning ), which one is better. i have heard that the ahb 3 are a lot more punchy, and all that but do they suit E standard or were made for mostly drop tunings such as mick thompson uses?

@TheShortestStruuaaww yeah i have the white one and the black one. i switched out the emg's beacuse after 16 years of playing them, i played blackouts for 3 min, and that was enough to sell me on them. i originally did only change pickups on one guitar, but back to back, the blackouts blew them away in my opinion. personal preference i guess.
