I was skinny when I was a little girl but I hardly remember anything from my childhood. since then I've been kinda "big". I've lost a lot of weight but not the right way, a while back ago I went through some eating disorders :/ Since then I've been one a well managed vegetarian diet and go to the gym every now and then :)
I've always been a "big girl" and I've always been told that all the years I have gone to school, and it really hurts . Because when you've been that way all your life, then you can not actually help it. There is a lot harder to be "normal" again on your own if you've been big for a long time. I personally had not hesitated to take an operation, but I can not handle pain at all and I hate not having control. + I'm too young. xD But you're incredibly brave and an amazing human being.

You made me choke up so much watching this video. I'm 22 years old and I have a two year old son. I've always been a thin, pretty, fit girl (without trying, just a gift) and then I got pregnant when I was 19. MY stomach grew and grew and grew... Everything else pretty much stayed thin, but after I had my son when I was 20 up until now, I just cry. I feel ruined. I always by long shirts to make sure my stomach won't show at all ever, I can't be as confident in my relationship and the stretchmarks
@TheMommyTrishaShow and the extra skin... just won't go away. I used to work out a bit pretty hardcore but even though I was getting results.. I couldn't see them. The skin and marks just hide all the work I put into it. It hurts so much to see other girls who have had children go back to looking the way they did and I feel jealousy and envy (even though I'm truly happy for them) I can't help but cry and pity myself. It hurts so much just to even look at myself in the mirror...

I thought you were beautiful before despite being a little overweight. I think your personality made you look even better. I know how it feels to be overweight, I was once 200 lbs. I got down to 165 lbs and I was extremely proud but was not happy with what I saw in the mirror. It is a struggle and its hard, you have to want to make a change for you not anyone else. You go girl!

When you lose a significant amount of weight, some skin has stretched beyond its capacity (due to the previous weight gain) & DOES NOT tighten up on its own with strength training (P90X/10 min trainer would do NOTHING for her loose skin) Its like stretching a rubberband so far&for so long it cant go back to normal no matter how tight the muscles underneath are

1.1/2 years obviously wasn't enough time for you its only 1LB per week on average which is too easy if your doing what you say you are! you should be losing an average 2LB per wk which is 50LB's more easy!

This might sound really strange but this really made me feel better about me getting jaw surgery in a couple of years. It's mostly cosmetic but since it's a problem that can lead to other problems I'm kind of advised to have it by orthodontists - I know it's not exactly like what you've had done but it's still surgery and it still improves how I'll look after I've recovered, so thank you for documenting this xx

1.1/2 years obviously wasn't enough time for you its only 1LB per week on average which is too easy if your doing what you say you are! you should be losing an average 2LB per wk which is 50LB's more easy!

This might sound really strange but this really made me feel better about me getting jaw surgery in a couple of years. It's mostly cosmetic but since it's a problem that can lead to other problems I'm kind of advised to have it by orthodontists - I know it's not exactly like what you've had done but it's still surgery and it still improves how I'll look after I've recovered, so thank you for documenting this xx

YOu make me wanna cry, I also had a tummy tuck and it was the most emotional time in my life. Like you I busted my ass to lose the weight, I had a kid and 60lbs later 9 years later LOL I finally got my wish. you go girl!! you only get one life and you only live once, everyone deserves to live it in the body they want and that makes them happy. i was unhappy with my boobs and got them done and now i'm so happy. not because i want to be a barbie doll, like you said, but because i don't want my insecurities taking over my life. now when i'm hanging out with friends, or going to the beach, i can enjoy myself and focus on the wonderful moment instead of being miserable comparing myself with other people.

Marlena I have watched you for years and think you have the best personality. Like many have said here you are as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside. Thanks for many tips, laughs and inspirations over the years. My gpa payed me $5 when I was little to memorize this poem.I didnt understand what was so special about it but now that I am a grown women I see why. This has helped me many times threw out my life< and just as you have helped me, I hope this poem helps you in some way.

I don't blame you. You did a good thing, by keeping yourself at a healthy weight, and if your not comfortable in your own fabulous skin, then cut away. We are all quick to judge, but I know myself well enough to know that if I were to have excess skin, I probably would get a tuck. It's not vain, it's making yourself happy. Your not getting constant surgery, and having to keep "perfecting" like Heidi Montag. That was WAAY overboard.
