Hey nice sluice. im over on vancouver island, gonna try my luck at some sluicing. i just built my own. wish i could buy one but gotta get some gold to do that first. good luck on your next outing
Hi, I have the same super mini sluice. I removed the first riffle and installed 3m nomad blue miners moss instead of the keene ribbed carpet. the extra space lets the fines settle in better and I'm getting more production out of it now.
It also helps when you classify the material with screens before you put it in the sluice but that is a lot of extra work. But, you don't have to disturb the riffles to remove rocks as much.
Good luck to you up there! May your pan be loaded!
This sluice is a backpack size so you don t want to overload it.the gold would wash right out, and thats no good! this is just one way to feed it, im sure there are others too.
that short a sluice i nwater moving that quick
your losing alot of the small color
i set up on the edge and bucket the water in and still set a pan at the foot of the sluice

you're not feeding it right, try pouring the dirt from a bucket and not "splashing" it on there. You got it next time.
