are you sure that the lyrics are right cuz i think you mixed up the artists... I'm a big Andy Lau fan and I kno his voice... the second voice inthis song is too soft for it to be Andy... I mean it flows more, Andy's is sharper. :S
@flame2k i have to disagree. mandarin dubbed movies are great! Infernal affairs in Mandarin dubbing has great suspense. Cantonese version sounds more casual (not that it makes it less great). Mandarin songs aren't too great. Cantonese ones may actually be better.
This is because your main oral Language is Cantonese, for us whose main oral language is neither cantonese nor Mandarin will admit Mandarin version is better
@ Vivien.....go to tingdong site and do a search for this song (Wu Jian Dao). You should find the lyrics along and know which voice is whose. Tony's voice is amazing...I thought all this time it was Andy's.
@ Vivien....go to tingdong and do a search for this song (Wu Jian Dao). You should find the lyrics which will tell you which voice is whose. I just realized the nice voice is actually Tony's.
thats sort of like a direct translation... Infernal Affairs is good as it describe what the movie is about... Endless Path is sort of like the deeper meaning of the movie... but doesn't sound nice
Dont understand a word of Cantonese, but I think judging by the lyrics alone Canto is better since it actually incorporates the films title into it quite a bit. That and the two singers are obviously more comfortable singing in Canto so sounds more natural. but hey like another poster said if Canto isn't suited for song much to them then I dunno.
I'm a Cantonese speaker and I do not understand Mandarin. However I still find the Mandarin version better because IMO Cantonese does not suit music very well.
I like the canto version better...Btw, do all songs have to have two versions? I notice that, especially with Nicholas Tse, he has a lot of songs in Canto and Mandarin
I agree that both actors sing better in Cantonese. But read the song lyrics where both of them sung in Chinese, isn't it so well written as in meaningful, especially when you apply it to the working environment you are in.
One of my favourite songs ever ! and films of course, fuck Scorsese !

Excellent pronunciation by both singers, really unusual for HK Cantonese speakers.
These two guys are amazing... There will never be another movie like Infernal Affairs.
