  • can a gtx 570 fit in this motherboard?

  • @SiKGaMeRR09 yea it can just like any other graphics card out there! you just need a case that can fit it (i think its a 9.5" graphics card)

  • @loudpanzer No it can't. The largest card that will fit is a GT 430 or an HD 6670. With this case you're limited to low profile cards (or "ready" with the bracket included).

  • @Chumly409 LOL good point I guess i thought someone was commenting on my silverstone SG05 video again. I said yes to that comment because i have tested my 570gtx in that case and it works fine. yea only low profile cards could fit in this ISK-300 case haha

lesson learned: double check title of video when responding to comment

  • Hey any problem with the power supply? Its a 65W power supply , but the intel processor alone have 65W TDP.

  • @RockTouching Nevermind , its the 150W model :S sorry

  • @RockTouching this the the 300-150 model that comes with a 150w psu :)

  • @RockTouching It's a 150W PSU, and TDP is a thermal rating vise a power draw rating. If you run a discrete GPU; disable the IGP and you get a LOT of headroom back. I run a 2120 with an HD 6670 and haven't had an issue. It's a 70% PSU, but it will run 168W 24/7 (FaH)

With just a CPU/IGP, it's well under 50W power draw range.

  • Hi, this video helped me decide on my intended build :) My build will be exactly the same but i will use the core i3 2105 chip as it HD3000 aas apposed to HD2000. How have you found the built in 150 watt PSU? I may also put a tv tuner card in, do you think the PSU will cope?

  • @Shambolicuk Cool man! I'm glad this helped you out. As long as you get the ISK 300 150 model case, it will come with the 150w psu. ITX motherboards come with 1 pcie slot, so as long as you get a TV tuner that's PCIE (should be fine if x2 x4) and not PCI (big difference hehe) it would work out great for an HTPC! The power supply works great for everything, i3's are rated at max tdp for only 65watts or so! :P Good luck and enjoy your build!

  • I understand nothing about motherboards, so i was wondering if the p8h61-m le would be a good bet for a gaming computer, equiped with the nvidia gtx580. Would it slow down the graphics card, or the processor? Any advice is very welcome.

  • @Freekles1245 No, that's a Micro ATX board (µATX), not to be confused with iTX/ Mini iTX in anyway. That would need a µATX case. Silverstone's Sugo series is about the best you can find for those.

Don't forget the PSU while shopping for that 580 either. They're hungry for power and aren't very thermally "kind" for SFF builds. My set keeps the garage warm folding 24/7 through the Winter.

  • @loudpanzer do you think this specific one will fit? heres the item number on newegg

    N82E16814102958

  • hi i was wondering if an AMD 6670 card would fit in here? (low profile version) my concern is due to the fact that most of them include a large cooler so im not sure if the case will be able to support it

  • @scorpiious It would fit as long as it does not exceed 1 low profile expansion slot. i looked up a sapphire one of those and it would work just fine! the 6670 is a lot of kickass for the price :)

  • hi,

thank you for the nice run through. i'd be really grateful if you could answer a couple of questions please. firstly, based on the configuration you've listed, how much memory can you allocate for the Intel HD 2000 gpu. i'm after a motherboard which allows to set about 512 MB as graphics memory and my 2nd question would be whether you could recommend such a mini-ITX motherboard if you know of one.

    thank you.

  • @ajmal8r ah, sorry, it has been awhile since i worked on this build and its with the client now. however i am very certain that it has the option for 128, 256 and 512 to be allocated to graphics. the motherboard i used is in the video description. i could be wrong and be thinking of other builds (i dont make a video for all of them sadly)

  • @loudpanzer thank you for the info.

  • Hey mate, can you tell me if the board had 4 to 8-pin ATX converter ? :)

  • I should say, its sold out everywhere...

  • hi, where did you get the case??? I can't find it ANYWHERE!

  • would this work without a graphics card like would it play hd? or does the proccesssor have more than 250mb for graphics sorry first time building a small computer

  • @MrFruitkiller certainly, a good motherboard would be an H67 or so, most of the time you can choose how much memory to allocate in bios too, so you can have more than 250mb if wish. If you combined a H67 board with a sandy bridge then HD play will be flawless!!

  • @loudpanzer so you would not recommend this motherboard or should it be fine?

  • So the Intel Core i3-2100 stock heatsink and fan fit into this case?

  • @asia911 Yea it fits just fine. There is not much more room for anything bigger.

  • Is 150 watts enough to handle ASUS P8H67-I DELUXE LGA 1155, Intel Core i5 Processor i5-2400 3.10GHz, Corsair 8 GB DDR3 Laptop Memory Kit CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9, Panasonic UJ240 6x Blu-ray Burner and Intel 120 GB 2.5-Inch Solid-State Drive 510 Series? Or should I go to a Silverstone? Thanks.

  • @boliek1 Yup its plenty! And remember good quality 80 plus certified powersupplys can handle a little extra over 150. Antec makes a good powersupply with this case so your in luck! You wouldn't get close to maxing it out with a i5-2400. It's max TDP is 95w. (The i5-2400s has 65w) Probably 90% of the time you use your computer it won't be running in this max state. The bluray and SSD will only use no more than 20w, so as long as you dont need a dedicated GPU, should work fine. Not need for HTPC!

  • @loudpanzer I ran an eXTreme PSU calculator and for the components I listed above it said I needed a "recommended" 285 Watt PSU. Are these calculators accurate? Since I won't have a graphics card and will be using the integrated graphics of the Sand Bridge 95W CPU (and 8 GB RAM, SSD HD, and Blu Ray burner) I don't know how they calculate 285 Watts. Any advice?

  • @boliek1 I think they give a 100w extra headroom when you select max power state or something- the antec 150 PSU can handle this load! so your fine no need to worry about it!

  • Hey can u take a look at a video responce I made for you. Basically I want to know if u can run linX and lmk what your load and idle vcore is using CPU and cpuid hardware monitor The video is in my video section in my profile

I just got done building my HTPC and little worried about the core voltage

  • Hello. Is the power supply enough for an i3 processor? Do you think I can use this case, with this mobo?? GA-E350N-USB3

  • @computerpingu The i3 I chose is rated as a 65w processor, since it is a high quality 150w power supply, it is more than enough to handle it plus all the HDD/optical that this case can support. You also wont have any problems with that GA-E350N-USB3 motherboard. The 24 pin connection is in the right spot for this case. (Some builders have problems with the power supplys 24pin cable not reaching) If you can squeeze the extra cash for a new sandy bridge i3 over the amd E, It is worth it by far!!

  • @loudpanzer hey i am about to build a HTPC and i was planning on using the same case and motherboard !! question. how is the 2100 working for ya? i was going to go for a 2100T (for less heat and lower power draw) but if you're running the 65TDP version i was thinking about going to a i5-2400S (quad core 65W TDP) what do you think? over kill? or should i just stick with my 2100T? (plan on running XBMC and ps3 media server (to stream to my living room transcode 1080P mkv files)

  • @loudpanzer also can you tell me what your load and idle times are using core temp? and running linX for the load? want to see how the temps are using the stock HSF and the case thanks :)

  • @atm743 sorry i forgot to add load temps in video. it didn't get much hotter than 49-55c while under max load.

I think for your application if you are doing a lot of trans coding and don't like wait times, the REAL four cores the i5 has will suit you better. I THINK the gpu inside the the i5 is faster than the i3's. good for 1080p. you can always check intels site. rule of thumb like always: if it costs more, it has more awesome!

the i3 is still great, it has to compete with amd's cheap quads.
