Man I'm hooked! I'm an old school house head and always thought I hated All techno. But your style and music selection has changed my opinion and got my head bobbin' at the same time.
Not more difficult just different than real vinyl. You have to tweak the settings to get it to react closer to vinyl.
If you don't tweak it will drift when both records are beatmatched or you have to move the pitch control more than normal to get it to react. Just check out the Torq dj forums and there's some good advice on how to reduce sticker drift and pitch smoothing.
thanks bro, and hey, do you think you could make another video explaining how m-audio torq w/conectiv works? ive been trying to find some videos to see how it works and how to set it up but I dont really understand cause the only video I found had a very bad explanation. plus, his english wasnt that great. and whats the electrix filter factory. and the PVDJ grabber?
check out the torq dj website. there's videos on there giving thorough explanations on how it all works. sometimes i go back and watch them to figure out a few things.
the filter factory is an analog filter on the right in my video right in front of my right turntable. the pvdj grabber is a dj sampler that loops on the fly and it keeps everything to the bpm of whats playing.
Any feedback is always appreciated Tones. I know it was a bit off in the beginning, spinning on Torq is so different than spinning on real vinyl. Actually, real vinyl is easier.
My sampler is a PVDJ Grabber, which is a copy of the Redsound Cycloops, it works exactly the same. Its very similar to the Sounbite Pro too. The Pro has more features.
I got mine on ebay for $80 new in box. I couldn't pass that up.
Let me know when you post that Adam Beyer mix, I'll gladly rate and comment on it. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. I grew up on old school house myself. Techno, House, the lines get blurred all the time.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Why do you use a pvdj ? I mean, Torq has an excellent loop function, you just need some midi controller... ?
xSaneBE 3 years ago
I use it like a third deck. I also use the loop function on torq a lot as well. Torq only allows two outputs unfortunately.

when you move the pitch slider on the turntable do the pitch slider on the torq screen move to ???
DJ4HIRE874 3 years ago
Yes it does. But in external mode(vinyl mode), you can't move the pitch slider on the torq screen.

Good mix,really liked it,Rated 5!
Little beatmatching problems:the tempo is good, but the bass don't kick together,,,work that!(constructiv criticism)
Your sampler,is it a Redsound Sound byte pro 1GB?
I'm asking myself if I buy one(not new, but, less expensive),,,are you happy of your?the price ou paid?
Thanks,see you soon,
PS:I see that you're fan of adam beyer?me,also,,,will do some mix with his tunes(I've at least 12 vinyls from him(much drumcodes)
Anthony =)
