I heard a song on Mtv this morning, the video was girl sitting in a big ass chair singing about a man that wants to be with her but she doesn't approve of him. just plain bullshit basically, I hope the cool kids get on more talk shows and in movie tracks and become legends. not mtv pop stars.

Personally, I think it's really sad that some people have become so "anti mainstream" and so obsessed with having a feeling of exclusiveness with their favorite artist that they get pissed when other people start catching on. As far as i'm concerned, real fans aren't like that. If you genuinely like an artist, shit like that shouldn't matter in the least bit. But then some people think it makes them look cool if they are up on an artist that everyone doesn't know about. Go figure.

I have a dj friend here in manila and he was like "look what we started playing in clubs" and he linked me Im Mikey. I was so pissed, i was like "people have heard of this shit?" the days of them being cool to us real fans might be behind us, but what's important is we knew them before the mainstream. we're fresh. we're fans.
