Ive been looking for pale tone colors (just ordered my first copics in a pile of 144) I tried using the lightest I had and they were still pretty tan...and the colors seemed muddy...
@TheCurlieTop I use Copic Multiliners and Sakura Microns. You need to use specific pens that are designed to be used with markers and inks. You can also view my Markers for Beginners video on my channel. :)
I adore your coloring videos! The way you define muscle with brush strokes is inspiring, and they just add to the graceful flow of the piece. Thank you for sharing your techniques!
lol I get excited everytime you use a marker I have. hehe. Hmm. When I do creature designs, the get both a more defined form, I use the colors first and ink later to assist in defining the form. But it as an exercise forces me to think of ways to solve color problems without the aid of a thick black line. I still use ink later though. :)
That's a very good technique to use! I will oftentimes leave out extra ink lines to allow myself to build up the form with color. But most of my work can get pretty detailed and tiny, so I tend to ink first. :)
i love to draw wings and the whole time i was watching this, i couldn`t take my eyes off of those gorgeous wings, theyr so life-like, and substantial. ugg i cant get overthem, can you explain how you learned to draw your wings like that?
I study off live birds - photographs mostly, but working off a dead one would be even better if I could find one. Working from life will always strengthen your drawing skills, and allow you to better stylize things.
amazing drawing i absolutely love it! graceful and elegant! i went to the De Young Museum today and saw beautiful impressionistic art from the Musee D'Orsay, Monet, Manet, Renoir etc.. it reminded me of you! cant wait to see you when we go back to school and at Alice auditions!!

what did you use to draw this beautiful artwork? The ink doesn't blend into the copic as the pen i use does.

What kind of paper do you use?

@kittypon114
I use Borden and Riley Paris Bleedproof paper for Pens. It's always best to use a paper especially for markers and ink. :)
