@ripken95 Yes it will. However for simplicity I recommend you search up ModMii for Windows. It allows a full offline installation and has unmatched simplicity.

@trudallasfan87 You have a newer Wii that can not (and never will be able to) play burned discs of any kind. Stick with USB loading and please remember, even with cruise control, you have to steer sometimes.

How do you fix STACK & CODE DUMP Errors? the error happens randomly but mainly when usbloader gx is running. Sometimes the whole wii will freeze in the middle of a game. Any suggestions on how to fix this?? Please help.

@sektor98usmc Those randomly happen, there is no way to "fix" it. I would say update your cIOS or the ISO files are bad....

Also, when I go to transfer the files from my SD card to my wii, the screen goes black, and it says, "Error#004 An Error has occurred. The system files are corrupted." Is this because the downloaded files have a virus, or what's wrong? My computer has no viruses, please help!

@TheSolcity After I downloaded the file boot.elf and the apps, wad, and private folders into my SD card...Once I put the SD card into my Wii, the Wii goes to open up the files in the SD card menu, and the error message pops up.

If anyone is thinking about soft moding their wii, i would highly recomend watching solcity's video's, it took me a few days todo because im a noob and suck at following instructions, my own fault it took so long, but when i thought about it and re-checked everything then it worked a treat.

Hey TheSolcity, having some "minor" issues, i hope. This is the second system I have modded, mine being a 4.1U which was a breeze, and this one for a friend 4.2U. I followed your guide, no errors whatsoever. Works great except for NeoGamma Disk error 1101, which I know is usually bad media. But they work in my 4.1U... I was thinking it could be the new chipset that doesnt read blank media, but its SN. is LU11. Is that possible? What are your thoughts?

@SeniorVest SOunds like the wii has an upgraded dvd drive that rejects burned discs, wiis came with that during oct of 2009

@hockeyer55 Neogamma is for discs so you can if you want and dvdx is just to read burned games on wiis without the upgraded dvd drive

for the trucha bug, i was able to downgrade IOS 15 but when i went back and tried installing ios 15 it gave me thiss wierd message like "memmory dump" or something and gave me alot of wierd code and stuff... help...

I did this and found out later its a CIOS18 now. Is there a way to upgrade? I'm not understand CIOS, but your video got my wii to play backups when I was so lost. If its worth anything I'm on 4.2U

Followed it all exactly, no errors.

then when i launch neogamma, i get "Press A to confirm that you have an usb gecko in memory card slot 2" instead of the "launch from DVD" etc menu.

Any idea how to fix this?

additional information:

Tried pressing A, a little green gecko icon appears in the bottom left corner, and the wii freezes on this.

This'll be because I don't have the usb gecko memory card thing, and henceforth do not have it in memory card slot 2.

i've made a little bit of progress by switching to R9, instead of the R7 I was using from your pack which for whatever odd reason chose to not work. R9 does seem to work but ive only got DVD+Rs at the moment, which unsurprisingly dont seem to work. going to Asda later today to pick up some -Rs, see if that works.

Can you explain the reasons why wads are loaded using IOS236 in the wad manager, instead of using the IOS249 as it is done by default? my other question would be: if I wanted to load wads for VC and Wiiware games, what IOS would I use on the wad manager? IOS236, or IOS249? sorry if my questions are a little stupid...

You should be able to use your sd card on your computer, have a dvd big enough for the iso file for your video game, time, and the game iso file. For more info PM me

it, however to burn, you need a specific

dual layer dvd, since it holds more space

to get the iso you can either rip it,
