This game is awesome, I still own this and Driver 2 and sometimes I still play them even though there's better games now, but if wasn't for this series GTA would never be what it is today, it's obvious Rockstar made better what the producers from Driver couldn't do it on Driv3r.

These "crap graphics" were pretty nice for the time, and even then the gameplay was good enough for the game too "stand on it's own" against other games, unlike today that graphics come first than the gameplay.

All I used to do was do that little bridge jump with the police chasing me. When the police cars flipped over on their side if you just tapped their car roof either you or the police car would go flying. Oh and the building with the little concrete block that you could glitch-drive through and they couldn't get to you.

Driver Renegade for 3DS and Driver for PS3/360 look like they are going back to the original gameplay of the first two. They also look like they won't disappoint on that.

@Choppr777 no he is right. they copied both from each other. Driver copied ( in a bad way shoot outs and out of car action) but GTA 3 copied in a great way the over the shoulder camera angle and explore the city sandbox element. Driver 1 looks more like GTA 3 than GTA or GTA 2

When I was very young, I couldnt pass the god damn garage mission. But I decided to look into the manual about 5 years later when i picked up the game. I shortly realized the manual itself will tell you what SALOM is and well .. I was finally able to play the game :) it felt good, like i got a new game.

The reason why I think the PC version is better, is because of the car selection screen, Driver for the PS1 didn't let you choose your car for free roam unless you had a gameshark or codebreaker.

Ahh,i remember getting chases in san francisco in a survival challenge,remember how i used to laugh so hard as the clumsiness of the police ai,how they used to crush me from either sides...how i used to go flying into the air and glitch out.

This game was amazing for its time; Back then, I didn't think the graphics could get any better than this haha. Now look how far we've come, though the nostalgia is still overwhelming despite these new games with so much better graphics. These days, the only thing that game developers focus on is the graphics. When I play a game, the last thing on my mind is the graphics. The gameplay is what matters most. Plus, this game wasn't even released in the 21st century. It'd be best to not bash it.
