Music should not be a competiton, just the joy of playing, watching and listening. But if we have t judge:, It is a very big joy to see two people having so much joy in performing such an excelent peace of music.
@Rexicano Hmmm...just checked out your video. If you're ever a tenth as good as either of these guys you'll be lucky...keep practising and maybe show a little respect!
But in your view if I go to a restaurant and get a crappy meal I have no right to complain because I can't cook.
But I can play many things better than Williams; French music for one...he just doesn't get it.
The state of the art of fingerstyle music is very high, just look at my favs; Bensusan, Hedges, and other Classical players. Williams is just out of his element every time he goes outside the main repertoire.
@Rexicano I quite enjoy it actually; and I see they both enjoy it as well! I like how they're crossing borders. Plus, I don't think your reasoning is valid. What you say about fingerstyle has no grounds, and I don't see where Williams is a lesser player; he plays totally different GREAT fingerstyle to my ears. I do agree on your "cooking" argument though :-).
@Rexicano You're welcome ;-). I've seen them live now, and they did actually convince very much as a duo. Maybe you could give them another chance when they will pass nearby on their tour! There's also a lot more different material to it than just this piece!
@Rexicano Heh, thanks for the heads-up. Maybe sometimes I'd wish I was, but at most I'm sometimes disillusioned :-P. I feel my phenomenological system is working quite well at the moment!
Two guitarists of the first league, but I always thought a concerto acoustic and a western string guitar don´t suit each other in sound...

This is such a good duo! I'm actually doing to see them tomorrow live in Sweden, hopefully they are as good then as in this video :)

Beautiful. Great dynamics, excellent balance between the two.
Williams is King of the Classical Guitar, for 60 years.
