@GsxG21 I highly agree with you I have a Greg Townsend card he had really good stats almost over 10 sacks every season and a INT for a TD,Bo Jackson was great excellent athlete but didn't play long enough,I dont know much about Howie Long unfortunatly.

As a Raider fan since 1970, I'd have to say that this list is pretty darn accurate. Having Belitnekoff and "The Snake" at one and two is perfect. That team from the 70's was easily the Raiders best and right up there with the Steelers, Bears, Packers, 49rs, and all of the others normally listed on the all-time greatest teams lists. Lucky plays and poor officiating cost that Raider team at least three possible Super Bowl appearences and has continued to haunt the franchise to this day.

Anytime I see a top 10 raider list, and if Howie Long is in it its a SHIT list!!! Howie is a good player but we're talking about the RAIDERS here!! Not a team like the Jets or Bucs! Howie would have a hard time making the top25! He's only on these list cause he's ALWAYS on tv.

@dlawr2 Hendricks was on all 3 as well. Hendricks arguably the best OLB ever should definitely be on here. Tatum fans sorry but you won't see Tatum in any list on ESPN or NFLN because of the hit on Stingley. I modeled my game after Tatum so i agree it's completely unfair and bullshit but it is what it is.

This video shows how much the NFL Network knows about the Raiders. How about Cliff Branch? Ray Guy? Ted Hendricks? Daryle Lamonica? You could have done three different lists, for the AFL, old NFL and new NFL....and there would still be arguments to this day.

Howie and Bo are my 2 favourite players of all time. They epitomized the raiders and hard nosed football to a tee. And of course the greatest safety of all time and another original Raiders killer-Rod Woodson. The list should either be extended to 13 or rewritten to include these men of excellence.

I can understand all the picks for a top ten RAIDERS players of all time, but leaving out Howie... doesn't seem right to me. Sure, we're stacked with greatness from all the years, but Howie was like Otto, Shell, and Upshaw... he did it all, he did it with greatness, and he did it a long time. For myself, Howie is #1.
