  • Wonderful, Rick!

    Miss Jim and you.

Youqing, (wife) likes this piece and th.is the first time she has heard a major tierce carillon. She say: "Easier to hear note on this bell." (She from China.)

    Thank you for posting this.

    Lobter

    (Robert Gift, Denver)

  • One of my favorites! Sounds great!!!

  • Great video 5/5!

  • You are playing wunderfull, but the melodie ( and the harmonie ) is't good to understand.

    Please play ones a time a Hemony-carillon...

    hoi!

  • What is wrong with the sound of this bells?

  • Ah, thank you for the clarification! While there is nothing "wrong" with the sound of the bells per se, their major-third tuning is different from traditional minor-third tuned carillon bells. This was an experimental technique by the Royal Eijsbouts founary in Holland. While not everyone likes the sound of them, I believe the sound of ringing bells is beautiful, regardless of their partial overtones.

  • Rara klokken....wat is er hier mis...?

  • Sorry, I don't speak Dutch and not sure what you are asking.

  • Do you teach?

  • Woah...nice. I didn't even know that there was such an instrument! I wish the bells in my city were as well tuned (not that they couldn't use improvement...my ears aren't THAT bad!). I swear, those out-of-tune hymns in my city every Sunday are probably enough to turn people off to religion all by themselves...

  • Thanks :)

What city do you live in and do you know what bells you're hearing?

  • I live in Rome...but Rome, Georgia, United S, lol. I have no idea what kind of bells they are. Lol, they may be a bad combination of 2nd & 3rd bells...

  • Woah... this is so cool.... A carillon huh? :D

  • Thank you... hope you enjoyed :)

  • It's fantastic! Really nice work!

  • Thanks very much... appreciate the compiment.

  • LOL!!!

    Nice Work!!

Love this song! Have to admit, first time I've ever heard it on a carillon!

  • What's the intrument that you're playing ?

  • It's called a carillon. A set of 52 tuned bronze bells in a church tower.

  • Cool.. :P

  • really cool.

this is one of my favorite songs ever.

I play it on the accordion on my "Welcome" to Minco video...

    keep up the good work!

  • same

  • They are indeed.
