I'm not a fan of the prequels and havn't seen this film either HOWEVER there's a big thing in revenge of the sith that clearly states that Anikan isn't allowed to be a Jedi Master and therefor he should also not be allowed an apprentice. But Clone wars just throws that in the trash so that doesn't make sense...
no character development. cheesy, painful dialogues during the whole movie. animation is mediocre at best. music os "cool" not "epic". voice acting is HORRIBLE. entire plot should have been a chapter in a movie. does not feel like a star wars movie. should you ignore this movie altogether? yes..

I thought the phantom menace was better. The phantom menace's ending made me scream. The plot in the phantom menace was fairly flat but it was MUCH better than the plot of this movie, and at least it had good actors. This movie however can not top the phantom menace however, the attack of the clones is a fair rival lol.

I actually re-watched most of the Tartatovsky Clone Wars Volume 1 very recently, and I say most because I could not tolerate it long enough to continue. The art and animation are just as cool as Samurai Jack, but it was just non-stop action scenes with far too little dialogue or exposition. I just wanted someone to stop the action and explain more than once every thirty minutes!

The action sequences look OK, but there is no dramatic tension as we already know which characters are going to survive or not. Especially when we see Anakin and Dooku fight when we know that both will survive to the next film

Voice actors maybe done out of the original but I'm more concern in how they will react in voicing in the scene which wasn't really a down fall to it and I believe they did a good job at trying to focus on the subject than being too realistic on the graphic. Lucas has begun to bastardize his franchises for more money. Indiana Jones 4 comes to mind. And he did that with this heap of dirt. The animation action is good, but Anakin's voice actor is moronic, and Ashoka is a enormous plothole, unless she dies in the end, which still is kinda lame, seeing as how she has played such an important role to anakin in this series, but later in ROTS, nobody mentions her. And Anakin was always a lil dark, but that again is a waved plot device in this abomination

I have loved this series since I was 5 and I grew up with the prequels and loved them (Showing my devotion) and I would agree with his review that the movie was good but not that good and should have been just showed on cartoon network as the series premiere or a straight to dvd release. The voice actors IMO do a great job and the show has gotten really freaking good, and strangely enough seems to be less aimed at kids then originaly concluded.

I think the series of this is pretty damn good, cool fights, intresting situations and a nice look into the universe but the narriator explaining the backstory for the episode is cheesy and so are the battle droids that provide the comic relief.
Try checking that out, it focuses more on the Clones.

The animated series could of been great. They could of made an adult based animated series, and done much more, and spread Star Wars into the Expanded Universe. Sadly, the animated series sucks. I wish they would of done a more adult based series, without many "main" Star Wars Movie characters.
I don't think they should of even thought of making a animated movie and series for kids in the first place because the kids dont even appreciate the original 6 movies. Why make a movie just for them? I guess George Lucas had a soft spot in his heart for kids though.
this spin-off was merely created to appeal to small children as Disney and LucasArts are in cahoots with eachother... The plot of the movie goes against everything a Jedi is supposed to be about. They take a mildly irresponsible Jedi Knight and give him a padawan in hopes that he will become more responsible, yet Anakis irresponsibility actually rubs off on Ahsoka... Thats why Jedi SUCK and Sith RULE.
As far as Ziro is concerned, the reason he is "gay" is because he is pregnant. Hutts can and will switch sexes, like worms. So ziro is female until he gives birth which can take 5 years.

Well said, Honestly, in the series, only the CORE CHARACTERS stay alive. There were many characters that could have been worthy of development(the three clones in "Jedi Crash", the traitor Captain Argyus, and much more). And I hate the fact that Grievous got EVEN LAMER in the series. I mean, what happened to all the cool tricks he did in Clone Wars(2D). I really didn't like that the movie wasn't realistic to an actual wart time situation. But, it a show/movie for kids. Can't blame that.

I agree no idea why the characters and story have to be lobotomised for a younger audience and i can't imagine an intelligent 10 year old cracking a smile at some of the repetitive jokes. Watching this film finally killed my interest in Star Wars for good.

how is he a starwars hater? I have loved this series since I was 5 and I grew up with the prequels and loved them (Showing my devotion) and I would agree with his review that the movie was good but not that good and should have been just showed on cartoon network as the series premiere or a straight to dvd release. The voice actors IMO do a great job and the show has gotten really freaking good, and strangely enough seems to be less aimed at kids then originaly concluded.

I think the series of this is pretty damn good, cool fights, intresting situations and a nice look into the universe but the narriator explaining the backstory for the episode is cheesy and so are the battle droids that provide the comic relief.
Try checking that out, it focuses more on the Clones.

The animated series could of been great. They could of made an adult based animated series, and done much more, and spread Star Wars into the Expanded Universe. Sadly, the animated series sucks. I wish they would of done a more adult based series, without many "main" Star Wars Movie characters.

I don't think they should of even thought of making a animated movie and series for kids in the first place because the kids dont even appreciate the original 6 movies. Why make a movie just for them? I guess George Lucas had a soft spot in his heart for kids though.

this spin-off was merely created to appeal to small children as Disney and LucasArts are in cahoots with eachother... The plot of the movie goes against everything a Jedi is supposed to be about. They take a mildly irresponsible Jedi Knight and give him a padawan in hopes that he will become more responsible, yet Anakis irresponsibility actually rubs off on Ahsoka... Thats why Jedi SUCK and Sith RULE.

Well said, Honestly, in the series, only the CORE CHARACTERS stay alive. There were many characters that could have been worthy of development(the three clones in "Jedi Crash", the traitor Captain Argyus, and much more). And I hate the fact that Grievous got EVEN LAMER in the series. I mean, what happened to all the cool tricks he did in Clone Wars(2D). I really didn't like that the movie wasn't realistic to an actual wart time situation. But, it a show/movie for kids. Can't blame that.

but I agree the fact that they can't get Frank Oz or Ian McDiarmid.....let's face it with the muppets not on TV anymore and McDiamid only doing stage acting this is their only real gig......is a real fucking shame.
Then again Portman, McGregor, ect. said they are trying to get over star wars, believing that it was the worst experience they have been on, which is a real shame (Thanks GL!)

Awful awful film, bastard child of the series. I agree no idea why the characters and story have to be lobotomised for a younger audience and i can't imagine an intelligent 10 year old cracking a smile at some of the repetitive jokes. Watching this film finally killed my interest in Star Wars for good.

yeah you're right and the episodes keep getting from boring to more boring I think that they should have made some thing like a movie (like EPISODE 7 where there could be similar events to the ones in Jedi Academy happening) but still even though these movie and the episodes are boring I've still got loads of respect for Lucas
