  • What a dumbass

  • ist, to light the heat elements or filament bulbs, you need more amps initially to break or crack the initial resistance. Kooler and Gadget are using start capacitors to give initial butt kick. It's amazing that the JT maintains the cap at sufficient voltage to keep it burning with millamps afterwards. You precharge and maintain the caps to specific voltage by using a sidac.

    Look at these polyurethane caps:

    v=2ODW-ntPHSU

  • i have a heater unit .. i will soon build it is simple and cheep ...

    discharge the charged caps from my ring .. all 9 of them to a 3 turn coil

    regards!

  • w, I am wondering if this here project of yours is going to pan out, have some TEETH. Where is the beef? Those little one inch coils are not beefy enough for anything, except maybe if they are strictly to oscillate something bigger. Kooler was putting toroids side-by-side and touching, and the draw was much lower with good output.

    I need to parts, but I don't know what values are needed. I'm going to have to just order a few things and begin experimenting experiment.
