Ok, for one, I still love Metallica, I grew up with them. But lets look at a few things here. St. Anger was a complete disaster, they won't even play half the songs live either. Lars swapped out his snare drum for a trash can, Kirk didn't do any solo's, they all played in drop c which didn't match up with James' voice. Part of it was Bob Rock's fault, they were a broken band without a bassist, yes, but St. Anger was a sad excuse for an album. I've loved everything up to that album.
