I had the startling DISPLEASURE of being seated betwixt a greasy window & a greasy man on a flight from Dublin to LA last year. Who was this fellow, you might be wondering? A one Mr. Badly Drawn Boy. However, Nosehair Singeing Boy might be more apropos! He removed his hat during a brush with turbulence, & the stench of his dandruff infested, unwashed hair follicles was THRUST up unwillingly into my nostrils! When I pressed the alert button, I was chastised for drawing attention to a 'celebrity'!

@jasonismyhomie Did you see inside of it? I ask bc I went to school with BDB & he wore that awful tea cosy laden with grease, sweat, & lice. He begun wearing that hat in year 3 when lice started inhabiting his greasy, smiley, full head of hair. This odd ball wanted to cultivate a fertile environment for lice. He called them 'his pets' & once told me I had 'more germs than any one of his lice'. I always thought he'd end up in some loony bin not making romcom soundtrack fodder.

@harveyderf UG, his PETS?!? WTF? I passed out shortly after my altercation w the stewardess who was clearly a BDB megafan! She was gushing over that About a Boy movie, & BDB played her like a piano! The consensus was that I was some unenlightened Beiber fan! NOT TRUE! Anyway, at least Beiber bathes! I woke up after drifting into a deep slumber only to witness BDB breathing heavily & sculpting a small, goblinesque figure out of what I can ONLY assume must have been one of his boogers? I mean FFS!

I must've had the patience of a saint not to stab him to death with safety scissors in Mrs Tiddlywinks class but I think I didn't even want to touch him with them! ACK!

He had his withdrawn, so I was trapped, & at varying points of the flight, I'd slip into/out of consciousness, only to see his booger/nose goblin army growing! I was APPALLED that a GROWN man would engage in such dementedly juvenile behaviour! Only Jamie Badger, the weird military kid, had displayed such lack of awareness before this! Judge Judy must be summoned IMMEDIATELY! She'd know I was right!

@rokeano I really loved it too, I'm a huge film buff and I'm someone who hates romantic comedies. I felt like the film really captured life at the turn of the century and when we look back on it we'll see that it captures the essence of an era, as opposed to just referring to random pop cultural references.-which is what movies usually do when they make a film take place in another era. The film was about life, love, and growing older. Cool stuff.
