It's a shame that Skullduggery wasn't on this. They did it but there was a problem with the camera or the lighting. It still could have been on the cd though.

My first concert concert ever was Steppenwolf, Indianapolis, Jan-Feb?1970, nosebleed seats. Saw them again at RibFest, Indianapolis in the 1990s, front row! Have been in love with John Kay and Steppenwolf from the beginning.
I love the live performances of Steppenwolf, i like them even more then the studio versions. Steppenwolf is the best music to listen to when your high, and real fine music to listen when not.
Steppenwolf IMO is the original Hard Rock band before they started caling it Heavy Metal. Besides all the great tunes and the years of relentless touring the formula has never changed. Just loud rock and roll at it's best. They should be given a special place in the rock and roll hall of fame for starting a whole new form of rock. Long live Hard Rock!
This is one of the truly rock bands that will NEVER be forgotten ......They were awesome!!!!!!!Thanks for posting this fantastic bands performance :-)
For your degree, my friend....don't call it Steppinwolf, with an "i". It's Steppenwolf, with an "e", from Steppe, veld. And there is also the book 'Steppenwolf ', by Hermann Hesse. Just to give you a few extra points...unless it was just a typo. Good luck with your degree.
Muchas gracias a todos los admiradores de esta gran banda de rock. Núnca habría imaginado que sería tan bienvenida la subida de éste video Que siga siempre viva la llama de su legado!
Thank you very much for all the fans of this great rock band. I never imagined it would be so welcome the rise of this video that always follow the flame of his legacy! Larga vida al verdadero Rock`n Rol!!
@frontera54 No mas bien nosotros te debemos dar las gracias. John Kay es como el vino, con los años está mejor, que tal interpretación, magnificos todos
Is it me, or is it just unbelievable how good John Kay looks? Isn't this video from 2005 or so? The man looks and sounds no different from his earliest 1968 appearances, or even better!!! What a voice!!!
Estas si son bandas de rock que nunca moriran y siempre estaran en la memoria de nosotros los que somos conocedores del buen rock. Felicidades Steppen Wolf. soy de Tampico Mexico.
Absolutely wonderful!!! I could (and have been) listening to this video every day for the last few weeks and it still hits hard. Fantastic guitar and drums, and of course JK. He just keeps on getting better. Just one question: where's the bass player? From the few short views of the keyboard guy, it doesn't look like he's playing LH bass. Recorded?
and by searching on google I found : "SEVA Foundation is dedicated to finding skillful means to relieve suffering caused by poverty around the world."
LOUISVILLE ?!?!?....yes sir Freedom Hall motherfuckers ! ! !....saw AC/DC there on the ballbreaker tour...awesome venue....big enough and small enough at the same time....lol
I've seen so many bands over the decades, I saw Steppenwolf at the Channel in Boston,MA back around 1980 something. I think John Kay is one of the few, if not the only musician from this era who has actually gotten better over the years. He was always great, but to still be this good is really incredible when compared to the others bands.
It is a pleasure for my hear someone had the privilege of seeing so many bands think that. I see we have several people with over the years we remain faithful to what is truly a great rock n roll band. Let them I since i am 15 years, and today almost forty years after I cannot believe big are on a real rock and roll life stage.Larga vida al Rock n Roll! Thanks friend!
Jon and Steppenwolf was the first live concert I ever saw. It was December 10, 1969. He waswearing black leather pants. NO BAND sounds like Steppenwolf. Jon Kay still had his voice and physique eveb after more than 30 years!!!!! The last two times I saw them was in 2001 and 2002 at an outdoor concert at a local Naval Air Base for the VietNam veterans. I stood 6 feet from him at these 2 lol. Always been my favorite....even better than Bob Seger and Stones, Moody Blues, etc.
John Kay is one of the most under rated voices in rock and roll! This is fairly recent, not an old clip ... and I've seen Steppenwolf a few times ... his voice is still strong as ever!
There is a live album with The Pusher on it. It is not current, and is also not Steppenwolf Live from 1970. The Pusher(1968) is on this live album from 1970, but it isn't the version I am looking for. The one I would like to find contains The Pusher which takes up the whole side of the album. At first, all of the members were making sounds independent from the other members-all were on acid and it sounds it.They then break in with that unforgettable chord & lead, and play the song out.NE1?
Hello. That album, with 'The Pusher' taking up a whole side, is 'Early Steppenwolf'. It was released after the first 2 (or more) albums, but it was a recording from before the first album, at a club in SF called The Matrix. I don't remember whether the album cover said that they were "The Sparrow" at that time or they
had already changed their name.
I too am amazed at how good he sounds, and at least in this video, they have kept the feeling of the song clear and recognizable.
Hello !this song is estracted to "Live in Louisville" dvd for Rainman records;its a awesome show! Steppenwolf its great and inmortal! And i an argentine fan of this. Good luke brother &long live Rock n Roll!!!!
I'll never forget the first time I ever heard this song. I was 16 back in 1980 at a bording school because I was a pothead. One of my fellow students played it for the priest. You can imagine his response to 'god damn the pusher man' Ahhh such a good memory :)
