I feel terrible.... I literally just sat down from a session, feeling great I had just figured some of these out for myself. If I get called out for biting... idk.
You're a big inspiration, Dyz, I'll for sure try to build on what you've provided. Endless innovation from immortal creation.
@benzobtx I dont have that video! If anyone has it, please post it. Not gonna lie, you guys killed us with those routines! taught us a lesson for sure, and we've been making routines ever since!
What about all the threads that were done by Boogie Brats - Bag of trix -? Benzo showed me a VHS of when he was 12 doing many threads key word (or number) is when he was "12"... Pretty sure you weren't breaking when Benzo was 12 years old - Just saying
@trickytroublez What about all the threads that Boogie Brats and Bag of Trix did? This video is to post the threads that we were doing. I didn't say that they didn't do threads did I? If Benzo was doing any of the exact moves I posted in this video, tell him to post the video online to set the history correct. As for the complex illusion threading style, as far as I know and witnessed, it started with my crew. If im wrong, just post the footage and correct me.- just saying
great!!!!! I'm dancing since 1996 and I don't know that all this move are from you. Big respect from spain. I know more history and complete my basic steps. Thanks so much for this video
@AstrayChronicle A big part of the reason why I don't do these moves anymore is because of 1) as i got older, I lost a lot of flexibility 2) injuries 3) Gained a lot of weight, so everything is so much heavier!
I wish i can still do these moves tho. But what I lost with my youth, I gained with experience and understanding.
I'm a bit confused about the air-step. Is the air-step the name for the inverted air baby you're doing or is the headstand lead up into that the entire move? I've always seen Sick from Gamblerz popularize this move without the inverted air baby part, always thought it looked dope.
Keep on rockin' steady, Dyzee! You're a legend of a b-boy!!!
@XlIl The freeze is called the "Air-Step Arm" Freeze. I know that somebody posted it up on Bboy.org tutorial a while ago calling it the Reverse Air-baby (lol WTH?) Sick from Gamblerz did this move YEARS later, but he flipped it by putting both legs on both arms. Either way, there were tons of underground VHS and DVD's with me doing that move. I think it's almost universal now tho, which is cool, as long as peeps get the name and history right.
Man, I remember back when I met you at Ronnie's place in Vegas and you showed me some old footage of you and your crew and told me about the leg-o leg. The TO style was so dope and the fact that you could tell a bboy was from TO based on style was dope too. Keep droppin those gems hommie.
this video is just so good on so many levels, and I want to go and learn everything in it. Dont call bites on me, this stuff is what makes bboying ALIVE!!
Yo dyzee.... is it biting if im doing some of these moves and flipping them? because i picked up on some of them on my own but now i found out someone already beat me to some of what i thought were my moves.... :(
@lifebeyondwhat If you do them and flip them, then its not a bite!
TIP: Theres nothing wrong with practicing a move or step or style in your own private practice. Its only wrong when you throw it down (without flipping it) and represent it as if its your own move. Every bboy should be able to do everything and anything they want. In battle, if someone does a move, do the same move back! But when representing, we need to represent our own moves, style, creations and concepts.
wow. u were doing this stuff in the early 90's? do you have a time machine or something? people are doing this kind of future stuff now as we speak, u must have travelled back in time and re-lived the era.
This is really cool Dyzee, knowing that I know where these come from now makes me feel like you really care about the culture aspect and go the extra mile and beyond. This also gives me ideas I will do my own twist to them maybe they won't even look nothing alike at the end but will definetly based them around this, that is just me I like to keep to myself origigal and promote creativity like Zeshen and Rawbzilla they are inspirational.
I remember seeing Supernaturalz at Show Me Stylez 2 a few years ago.. I couldn't comprehend half of the stuff I was seeing.. I still had to rewatch This... ha. Thanks for sharing your art, knowledge with the worlddd Dyzee.
Dyzee, I am glad that you have shared with us the knowledge and history of these moves. I, myself, had been doing a few of these moves without knowledge of where they came from (I too have flexibility in the knees). Thank you!
@sixliones thats why im showing this video, so you know where those moves came from. This video footage is from 1999! Way before other people began doing them, flipping them and getting famous for them too.
@dyzeesupernaturalzzz Sometimes people living in other countries,at different times, invent same looking moves..I think u can't call it a bite just because one is more famous than the other
@sixliones If someone does the exact same move, because they saw it somewhere, and were inspired, then its a BITE, especially if they don't flip it. If someone invents a move on their own, they will know how to flip it, because they are the inventor, the blueprint is in the brain. Biters only have the carbon copy, won't know how to flip it. All my moves Ive flipped 10 times.
I didn't mention this, but the way I organized this video was in the exact evolution of the moves.
@sixliones Some where inspired by other bboys! The point is that I flipped the moves that I was inspired from. I didn't just BITE it, which many bboys just do today! If you see a move or step that you like "Don't Bite it, Flip it" in the wise words of Megas. When someone invents a move, they should flip their own move into as many different variations so that they own the move and every variation possible.
@dyzeesupernaturalzzz on that we can agree...I'm dancing for 3 years already, not alot of time but my hardest times except the pain of the practice...is invanting moves completly new that no one thought about...thank u for your sharing ...inspirational.
@sixliones Whoa, I've been dancing for three years now too lol. On the pain of practicing, I recommend going to see a masseuse and looking into getting an athlete's massage. I very recently (like last two days) made a friend who luckily is a masseuse, and she told me that because of all the stress I put on my muscles, they're insanely worn out. Like my calfs are the most worn out (7 out of 10 on the badness factor lol) because I always put pressure on them doing 3 steps and stuff.
@XlIl I know ...all that power is killing me and I talk only about flares to windmill XD but still hurts when I warm up...sadly now I kinda got used to it
Super interesting. It's cool to finally see some of the names to the moves I've seen you do for so many years. I also appreciate the shout out to Deadly Mike.
