Interestingly, in 5th grade (1973-74), we were being taught the metric system as an extra lesson section in math. The government was apparently in a hurry to get us up to speed on it. They were doing this because the U.S. was going to be completely converted to the metric system by the time we were in high school.

Also, in the U.S., we do use the imperial measurement system. But, it's technically called the British Imperial system.

I think this was awesome, I am thinking that if you use smaller and thinner clear tubing, then you could make a really cool alien cryo-container. Just do the same concept but put it on the clear tubing instead. I Would paint everything first, then glue it on though because you want the "glass chamber" to be clean. Then fill the tube with water works clear plastic water (or something similar) and dye the water green, add an alien inside and maybe some oxygen tubes attached to the alien and done.
