Knowledge of Opium cultivation is extremely limited in the West and it took me years to learn the ropes. From an acre and a half of planted poppies I can harvest anything from 2 to 16kg of Opium annually. It's back breaking work though. Then I have to boil it in 50 gal drums and strain through cheese cloth. I then add sodium hydroxide and extract the crude morphine base. No none at all. Stick to open fields when searching for this particular species, they do not grow on dung, near it yes but never on it.

There is no other mushroom with the "nipple" that is this size. Once you positively identify one you will know them like the back of your hand.

This specimen in the video is a very poor looking one. They are usually a very bright yellow when dry but go this dirty brown color when wet or dying.

it's not about being scared it's about not being a mushroom expert and being able to identify them which is next to impossible even for an experienced mycologist. even if they are cubensis there's a chance a deadly bacteria or mold might have set in while they we're growing.

You should have someone there who knows the score when you are picking them that is my best advice.

Although all recorded deaths/accidents with bad mushroom identification are connected to the Amanita muscaria (fly agaric) and the psilocybe cubensis (the one that looks not dissimilar to a penis)

Mis-identification of the liberty cap with a deadly species usually come with the galerina(the orangey ones)

Yeah, agree with Niko2007; why the hell dose it in grams when you can just dose it by count of shrooms, which makes the wet/dry-factor irrelevant.

Unless you're planning to store them for long-term use of course, where drying, pulverizing and sealing is necessary, and you would have to dose in grams.

2g is a good, standard trip, whereas 4-5g will really "get you there".

Provided they are bone dry, crushed to powder and well packed. Any moister at all and they will die fast. So even a jar re opened many times is going to let in enough moister to shorten the life of the whole jar. Make individual snap tight baggies and have 100 powdered shrooms in it and then roll the air out of it with a rolling pin and it will also snap the seal on the baggy for you, that way you can tell how many you need by how many people are gonna be taking them.

psilocybe semilanceata are the third strongest magic mushrooms in thw world for total content of psilocybin, psilocyn and baocystin. if you dont blieve me look it up. they are more than strong enough and fairly easy to identify. psilocybe cubensis are the most popular and on average these are twelve times stronger. there the best shrooms out there!

if you wana grow these bad boys a good technique is to get some bulk cow manure and a trampoline. spread the manure evenly on grassy land and place the trampoline over it. wait a while after a rain storm and they should sprout up. my friend did this by accident when trying to fertilize his lawn, lol, and the crop was massive. of course this means you need a trampoline

As far as I know, there are not many successful grows done with this, possibly because it's symbiotic link with some types of grass or something. Cubensis is much more easier to grow, thus better.
