There are only one reason why a peace officer would be flying with the crew from a scene: continuity of evidence. The crew would not take a patient they were worried about being violent, they would sedate them prior to loading and make sure they stayed asleep for the entire trip.
Hey, can anyone help me with this question? I am a Primary care paramedic student in Ontario, which would equal an EMT-A in Alberta. Do EMT-A in Alberta give symptom relief drugs? And what is the pay like?
Yes, Primary Care Paramedics in Alberta give symptomatic relief drugs (asa, nitro, ventolin, epi, glucagon, d50w, ect ect.) Pay is $20 to $25 an hour on average.
You know to the people who are on the outside and looking at the landing it may look like they have a wash out but when I talked to the pilot at one of the scenes where I was on the LZ crew he said that they have an area where they can still see. The air pushing everything down and away from them. If you think it is cool to watch the video try being less then 20 feet away when they are landing!! WHAT A RUSH!!
Is this a good company to work for? and how does the paramedic system work in Alberta? Is it like Ontario( Primary Care Paramedic then Advanced Care Paramedic then critical care paramedic) or is it EMT-B EMT-I EMT-paramedic ( do not know if that EMT thing is right )

Thank God for the people who fly STARS and the organization who keeps them in the air.
