Our representatives are hired as public servants. This puts them under scrutiny and they know that when they sign on. I don't really care what people do in their private lives either but in this particular case, the governor was missing from the country for nearly a week without anyone in his family or his office or the state knowing where he was. The point is that he wasn't governing the state of South Carolina which is what he was hired to do.
