@ktnsteve All due respect, we in the West almost completely ignore the Holy Orthodox Churches of the East who also have true Apostolic Succession. All Roman priests were not killed by Henry, who clearly broke away from The See of Peter, creating a new state controlled church. All Holy Orthodox Communions have valid Eucharists, (Mysteries). Over time, the Anglican/Episcopalian Church naturally developed many innovations and traditions of its' own. Now it is human pride. Canterbury or Rome? PAX.

Very pre-Vatican II. Which statement may open another can of "Worms". My main point was the Succession issue. Sadly, we will not resolve about 1700 years of schismatic issues, some based on very small things, on Youtube. Benedict is trying both ecumenical and Tridentine avenues it seems. TY

What do Anglicans, or any other Christians, have to gain from "reuniting with Rome"?

They already believe in God, in the Gospel of Christ, venerate Mary & know all that one needs to for salvation.

The Vatican has no exclusive claim on salvation; God gave no such patent to anyone. This is merely a power grab by Opus Dei to destroy any viable organized alternative to the Vatican, which they own.

@Nimo753 If you refer to the Anglican clergy who are converting to Catholicism...they have almost no incidents of sex abuse of minors, compared to the RCC. Very few.
