The map at the end is interesting. I take it to show where SS divisions were raised? I am a reenactor with the 17th SS Gotz, Panzer Grenadier unit. The map shows them to be Belorus/Russian unit... Not so. We were mostly German with many French and Romanian conscripts thrown in. That is if I am indeed recognizing our Iron Fist symbol there on the map.

Both obtained the rank of Oberstgruppenführer (4-star general USA) Hausser highest command was commander of the 7th Army in Normandy and Dietrich the commander of the 6SS Panzer Army. Hausser was highly regarded by most regular Herr officer, whereas Dietrich was considered way over his head. Both were deeply respected by their men. Both did not commander each other as far as I know.
