Yea, kinda hard to come up with a design with 2000 beer bottle caps all with different kinds of colors. We did end up getting it symmetrical though!

just go to menards or home depo and they have other kinds of liquids by the poly urethane that you can use.

We used the same stuff that they use on bar tops, It came in 2 parts, a liquid and a hardener. We just googled "liquid bartop" and found it. It was a lil over $100. DO NOT use poly urethane, not as durable.
