what was really fantastic about this movie, was the way the story was presented: The script and the direction kept a low profile about the events and the characters involved and their lives, so making the underground pain even more explodeabl!. No much drama exhibition, thus no "melodramatic' show off, just life, as it would really be under these circustances... A film almost "neorealistic" and therefore painfully touching for the ones who know what living with hidden feelings really means...
I'm not a fan of pro-gay stuff, but I like how the story went down the road of the lies that the two men had to put up in order to live their lives....for fear of what may happen if they announce to everyone that they are gay. That is more interesting than movies that have gay married couples or openly gay people...it's more realistic I feel.
Thank you for keeping the memory of this unforgettable movie. There will never be another movie like it for it's story in it's time. Ang's prefection in directing with a style of "less is more" causes this movie to seep deep inside of you and it haunts you for days/weeks afterwards. For many, this movie will live with them for the rest of their lives. Thanks for taking the time for the review.
