@baseballgrader We've been residing our house, and when we tore it all the vinyl off, we found the same thing. OSB, no covering of any sort. My Father, who has quite a bit of building experience, was just as baffled as I was. Honestly I don't know why the down tyvek, you'd think moisture and mold would be an issue. But we thought the builders just skimped out, now that I see this think, maybe there is a reason. I don't know. Might be worth Googling. Haha
I notice the siding under the siding has no tyvek or anything.

do you really need the tool or can you use a flat blade or a paint scraper or something?
