I'm sorry, this composition is brilliant, but at one point, Boz looks like a Greek restaurant owner...when he's playing that tiny little Strat or whatever it is.
Marr got/gets more than his share of credit for the Smiths... Legally he was the other half of the Smiths (only he and Morrissey were contractually obligated to the ban so naturally they got a very big portion of the royalties.
If anyone isn't getting the credit they deserve it was the other half of the band.
I don't like the style of the new Drummer. He is using 80 % of his play the Cymbals! That sounds not good. There is not a clear and strong beat. And I miss the Melodies. These noisy giutiar sounds place Morrisseys singing in the Background. But, please don't hang me. I love him and I will always do. You just need to be honestly.
I think this music is wonderful, personally. Boz is a great writer and this is a wonderful song. I love the heavy bass and drum and I don't think it in any way drowns out Morrissey.
a) u'd be naive to expect moz OR marr to pull out anything as grand as the smiths.
b) moz does have an incredible standard to what he releases. some of it is (to me) comparable to the smiths. and that's NOT the last two albums which still are quite good with exceptional breaks.
c) marr does get the credit he deserve. at least from anyone who does know anything more than 'bigmouth'. and the press. and other bands.
