  • Gota love something fun to destroy! My african Grey Bo loves to destroy pencils, lol.

  • Hey, this cotton candy has no taste. What about yours?

  • I'm guessing the Quaker is the boss.

  • Ding! Ding! What gave it away? LOL Yes, Nikki has always been like that. It is just her personality.

  • yeah i know i have two cockatiels we thought it was a boy and girl and the girl kept laying eggs but they never hatched so we were getting mad at the other cockatiel so when we got there nails trimed because you can tell if its a boy or girl by the feathers they said it was a girl i was in complete shock and the female probably laid 20 eggs in 3 months then we got another thinking it was a boy wrong we got another girl lol

  • OMG! A similar thing happened to me. Both my Sun and Quaker are females and I kept finding eggs in the cage. The Quaker kept laying them. I know this because she would gain a lot of weight before she would pass one. Everyone kept saying: "Aren't they both girls? You need to get them a male companion." LOL

  • i have no clue if my sun conure and quaker parrot genders but they get along fine they are in the same cage and i know quakers can get territorial over there cage but i got the two of them when they were babies and i handfeed them togethor and kept them together so they get along fine

  • Well, if you find an egg in their cage, you got at least one femail on your hands LOL Glad I am not the only one who has a Quaker and a Sun that are housed together.

  • oh my god!!!!! i loved ur birds so much...

I am going to adopt a sun conure soon, but i feel like maybe i also get a quaker :)

  • I realize a few asked this already.. I have a 1yr old quaker who gets along with our budgies, because hes still young and not territorial AT ALL (the budgies eat his food all the time, from his dish) do you think housing a conure together is possible? Do the two species get along? We think our quaker is a boy, but havent done any DNA to know for sure, but after years of having birds we an already tell its most likely a boy. Any suggestions? Thanks! These 2 are just precious, you're so lucky.

  • It all depends on the bird. Since your quaker is used to being around other birds, it is very possible that they will at least play well together. As far as housing two birds together, it can go either way. It doesn't hurt to try but you should start with them in separate cages side by side. Leave the doors open and see if one goes inside the others cage. Be willing to let them live separately if they choose not to be housemates. Good luck:-)

  • Thanks for watching, Patrick:-)

  • omg, end of this is so great

  • Your birds are beautiful! I'm hoping to get a quaker someday.

  • Go for it! Quakers are such characters and have so much personality.

  • Parrots with attention spans... precious! I love my Sun, but I miss my Quaker. (Got the Sun after the Quaker flew away and I mis him soo much) Do Suns and Quakers generally get along? Or is it only with your two? Should they be of the same or opposing sex for them to get along?

  • I know quite a few suns and quakers that get along well. Their owners will let their suns and quakers play together but each bird has his/her own cage. I don't know anyone who has a sun and quaker that are housed in the same cage like mine are. I heeard that two famales are the best combination, then comes male female, and then comes two males. Suns generally get along with other birds but quakers are not as likely to get along with other birds. They tend to be more aggressive.

  • Really! I thought a boy sun and a boy quaker would have gotten along better! Wow! In my experience, male parrots always seemed to be more accepting and easy going than females.

They really do look so sweet together.

  • Well I don't know for sure. This is what I have heard. Maybe male parrots of different species might get along better than those of the same species?

  • I volunteer at a bird rescue and the owner keeps a quaker and a yellow collared macaw in the same cage. They seem to get along ok.
