  • can you link me to teh exact ones you bought for your car? im having trouble with all the code numbers and what not on the website.

  • @ohhellnahbitch The ones that I have are no longer carried. This is what replaced it: tinyurl (dot) com/led-blinker and is the closest that I've found.

  • Not bad. Random question, where'd you get the 2.5 badge from (next to 'SE')?

  • @RishTDC Thanks man. I got it from a store that was linked on the Ford Fusion Club, but it's since been shut down. Do you like it?

  • I was looking at the extreme kit which has Philips bulbs and a harness. I didn't know Ford would do that? I would much rather do that so there's no chance at voicing my warranty. For now I've got Silverstar Ultras, and they're pretty decent!

  • @robhlittle That's what I have. In my lows and highs. Fogs are still OEM.

  • Thank you, you're really helpful! Have you updated to HIDs? I was thinking of doing the Xenon Depot volt 6000k kit.

  • @robhlittle I haven't yet. I've got to put aside some money to get a nice HID kit with the harness, etc. I'm just going to take it over to a Ford dealership and have them do it. I can get an entire kit (6000K), with all the harnesses, etc for just over $200cad, and then it'd be $170 for them to install. If you get the switchbacks, and you upgrade to HIDs, make sure that you get all the same colour temperature so it looks right. And if you sign up on the Ford Fusion Club, I'm TrainAss.

  • I just saw the other video, you're right. Those are sweet! Do you need a resistor for those too? So for the tail lights, you just need the bulb and the resistor? Where did you mount it? Sorry for all of the questions, I'm just at a loss and it feels good to talk to someone who's done this to my car before.

  • @robhlittle Its not problem. You only need the one resister that I linked you earlier as that is a 2 bulb resister. You can mount it either in the front or the rear of the car. Its easier to mount in the rear IMO. You can mount it to the chassis under the trunk lining. Don't mount it against the lining. Here's a picture of where mine is mounted: tinyurl com/3ugfv9j I'd also recommend on joining the Ford Fusion Club. You'll get lots of ideas and help from there!

  • Wait, why would I need switchbacks for the tail lights? i want the whole thing to be red

  • @robhlittle Switchbacks are for the front. They replace your OEM amber bulb with one that glows white when the parking lights are on, and then blinks amber when the turn signal is engaged. I have another video of them in action. They're worth it. They look awesome!

  • Okay, I read up on the resistors and understand what they're for now. Switchbacks are just the type of LEDs, right? the 7443_20_P_R's are the turning signal/brake/parking light all-in-one, right? Since the stock bulb is an all in one.

  • @robhlittle The tail light is just one bulb each side (backup lights are different).

  • Lol I'm a n00b so you'll have to excuse me. I found the bulbs, but where can I find that resistor? and what are switchbacks? I have a 2012 model if that helps

  • @robhlittle Resister: V-LEDS Part ID: LR_650 Switchbacks: V-LEDS Part ID: 3157_92_WA2_6K Look at my other video for the switchbacks to see what they are.

  • Can you give me the link or info on which bulbs you bought? I want to do this to my fusion but I can't find the right item. Please and thank you

  • @robhlittle These are the ones that I got item# 7443_20_R from V-leds.com. You'll also need to get a 6Ohm 50w resistor. If you get the dual-bulb one, you'll be able to install a set of switchbacks for your turn signals, and not need an extra set. Hope that helps!

  • is there room in the backup lite housing for strobes?

  • @brotherdav3 Not unless you open the entire housing up. The opening is just big enough for a bulb. And if you are thinking about putting a strobe in there, I'd check to make sure that you legally can. Why would you want a strobe in there anyway?
