Do Condor rides in Europe suffer any issues from the fog effects that you know of? The Condor on the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ here in the US had this feature in the past, but it was removed due to the effects the fog had on the rides drive motors.
I don't think it does because there is only one travelling Condor in Europe and -like I said- it travels around in Germany and Holland. It hasn't encountered any fog and I don't think it will anytime soon because it hasn't been near an ocean or somewhere long enough. :)
As in "fog," I mean't the special effect smoke that billows out from the center when the ride is ending in this video. What has been said here is that the smoke from the machine would mess with the ride motors, but it seems to be alright on this model if it is still operating with it.
Hey, thanks for the comment! Yeah, these rides are cool. They aren't much of a thrill but they do go up high and they give you a wonderful view of the surrounding area.
The Condor in this movie, the "Ikarus", is 23 years old, was bought by the families Blume & Wollenschlaeger in Germany and presented in 2004. They haven't had much succes, even though it's a typical/classic funfair ride of Germany back in the 'old days'.
